“Lovely Villa in a Beautiful Setting”

Another Week in Heaven

We can't recommend Le Caggia enough. It is a marvellous holiday home, beautifully maintained by Jacopo and Fabio who always give us the friendliest of welcomes each time we come.
The villa is situated on the side of a hill with views of fields and surrounding woods. It is spacious and has continued to accommodate our family as it has grown to 15 including 6 young ones.
Being over 500m up, it does not get too hot but the good size swimming pool gets lots of use. There are various lawns around the villa for kick about, playing table tennis and badminton or a quiet read. We made daily use of the outside dining facilities under the shade of a large linden tree.
Near by there are friendly family restaurants serving wonderful local food and a supermarket for all one needs in Rosia. Past Rosia there is a nature reserve with lovely walks and a river for a splash and a dip. Further out there are many old towns to explore. Siena is a must.
We are definitely coming back.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed 13 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Stayed with our daughter, brother and his family, and with my parents - nine in all. Building accommodated us easily - plenty of space. Beautiful building, pool area and countryside. Jacopo and Fabio were extremely helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

“A near perfect destination for a family holiday to celebrate my 70th birthday”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This was a long planned week long holiday to celebrate my 70th birthday for ourselves with our 2 sons and their wives and children - we very rarely get to meet together and it is difficult to think of any way the occasion could have been improved. We loved the villa, the space it offers (all 3 family units had their own "apartment"), its situation (away from any modern noises, so peaceful and unspoiled), its amenities (the children particularly loved the pool, the adults loved the kitchen facilities), and the proximity of the wonderful Tuscan attractions (Siena, Castles, restaurants etc). While at time the weather was pretty hot, the villa is in an elevated position and that meant that we were never troubled with excessive temperatures. Jacopo and Fabio could not possibly have been more welcoming or helpful. We enjoyed a splendid Tuscan meal they prepared and served for us on my 70th birthday, and we really do hope that we can find another occasion to visit them again (perhaps our 50th wedding anniversary, in a few years' time, if we're spared). We have no hesitation in recommending Podere le Caggia for similar family gatherings.

“I MISS THE VILLA! ME TOO, ME TOO, ME TOO…..”

My parents in law decided to have a family reunion in Italy for their 50th anniversary and the task to find the perfect place to accommodate 14 people (8 adults and 6 kids) was worrisome to me. But Jacopo e Fabio made possible to experience the vacation of a lifetime.

The villa is situated among the hills in the proximity of Siena and the views and landscape are gorgeous. From the villa you can have easy access to many other Tuscan attractions and therefore it is perfect as a place to rest and relax and as a place to be used as a base (we surely did both).

The villa, with its style that is a subtle mix of classic and modern, is perfectly kept and maintained by the hard work and passion of Jacopo and Fabio (I know how difficult it was for Fabio to work on the garden with 6 kids who wanted to “help”). The size of the villa, the number of rooms, and the outside space made possible for 14 people to coexist without ever feeling crowded.

Last but not least, Jacopo and Fabio were extremely courteous and helpful. It is a must to try the breakfast and dinner that they prepare, but in particular their cooking school. The meal that we enjoyed after such cooking school was one of the most memorable events of our vacation.

After having left the villa to return back to the US, my daughter said “I miss the villa”. Thereafter everybody else started to say “Me too”. And that says it all.

“Magical!!”

Le Caggia is MAGICAL. I cannot thank Jacopo or Fabio enough. My mother, who is 83 years old, had a wish to come to a villa in Italy. Jacopo and Fabio helped make that dream come true in more ways than I would ever be able to express. Their kindness and hard work made our stay the most memorable time for my entire family. “Above and beyond any expectation” can only describe our stay.

The villa . . . truly such a piece of beauty in and of itself, set among the rolling fields, exceptional in its classic yet modern style, the villa is maintained and manicured to perfection. You can tell that love and care has gone into the maintenance of Le Caggia. The place is so neat and clean, again, I have to say, it is a wonderful place. The owner’s artwork makes Le Caggia come alive. Every room has a charm and a beauty that cannot be matched.

Jacopo and Fabio were so present. They provided us with excellent service and tremendous recommendations as to local sights and restaurants. We even had Jacopo and Fabio’s Prima Cena meal prepared for us and it was fantastic. Many organic, fresh from the garden items mixed with an amazing assortment of grilled meats and a chocolate cake to melt any heart!

I know it seems as though I have gushed and gushed, because I have. Please, if you can, stay at Le Caggia, there is an amazing quality to this place. The combination of Jacopo, Fabio and the beauty of Le Caggia . . . it cannot be matched.

“Incredible”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Nine of our family stayed at Podere La Caggia and even with the amazing pictures the property exceeded all of our expectations. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the house itself has everything you could ever need and more - including space even with such a large group.

Jacopo and Fabio were amazing and always on hand for anything we needed - including incredible cooking which we enjoyed on several occassions.

Highly recommend - we will be back!
