We were very lucky to visit Filippo's restaurant with our Italian friends. We put our meal in his hands and the outcome was amazing. We started with smoked/roasted ham and asparagus with cheese, he then recommended a Mediterranean fish called Carpaccio with potatoes and truffles... To die for. We had two pastas, calamarata (I think) with bacon and rigatoni with a special pork Ragu. Our wine was a French crisp white wine which was an amazing recommendation. We have learned this is the best way to order, just leave it in the chef's hands. We will be back next September when we return to Chianti.
