We booked a room with city view for one night. It was the most expensive on our Italy trip, but it was totally worth it. Located in an old abbey you have a beautiful view over the city with the cathedral as its central point. The room was elegant and modern which was amost a bit too modern because the abbey flair was a bit lost. The bathroom was clean and big enough. The WiFi worked perfectly as well as the AC. The hotel was a perfect starting point for city tours and next to the hotel there is a bus station leading to the train station.
Now to the typicl Italian breakfast: As I already pointed out in other reviews you have to understand that you are in a different conutry and as long as you are not in big hotel chains without the Italian flair, you have to remember that Italians have another understanding of breakfast. For them breakfast is a sweet croissant and coffee. So for an Italian breakfast it was good and a big diversity. Another plus point was the breakfast room. Beautiful old abbey room and probably the best room in the building to experience the abbey flair.
Conclusion: Beautiful hotel and definitely worth a visit, also for my taste it was almost a bit too modern ;)

Room Tip: Room with city view!

This hotel is very well located - slightly away from the touristy centre but very walkable and with beautiful views over the Duomo. Rooms are clean and functional, and the balcony and view were superb.

Room Tip: Ask for balcony and Duomo view

We arrived amidst the excitement and chaos of il Palio, the famous horse race around the del Campo square. Alma Domus provided a cool sanctuary away from the crowds of people and lived up to its name of providing a 'room with a view'. It is in a great location, friendly staff, clean rooms and a good breakfast.

We had stayed at this hotel once before on our way to a wedding, this time we were in Siena for Palio for 3 nights. As we had a great stay previously we booked two rooms this visit for us & friends. We had rooms 9 & 10 which have the small balcony & fabulous views. We really enjoy the location of the hotel, it is close enough to the campo & all the sights but also tucked away. You can drive to the hotel just to unload your luggage (but you must give your number plate to reception otherwise you will get a ticket as camera's monitor all traffic which enter) then you will have to move your car to a carpark. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The breakfast is basic & you can order one cappuccino/expresso etc per person. The reception staff are very helpful. There are a couple of great places to eat nearby - if you like 'refined & inventive' meals visit Il Campaccio & if you want an amazing lunch antipasto platter head around the corner to Toscano Golosa .

This is no frills, but what a pretty, welcoming place to be. They saved my life, after a terrible experience at a different place. It's location is beautiful with great views. Maintenance is squeaky clean. Nice breakfast and very warm, kind staff.
