The hotel is situated conveniently on the road that takes you into the city when you arrive from Florence (hence the street's name Via Fiorentina;)). When I arrived, I was positively took note that it was very well maintained, clean inside and outside. As it was the time of the Palio, I was glad that I could leave the car at the hotel and take a bus into town from a close-by bus stop and even if I returned late and there were no busses anymore, it was just a 30 minute walk from the Piazza del Campo and thankfully Siena is safe to do that. But what I'd like to underline was the friendliness of the staff. I felt welcome from the moment of arrival, got lots of tips around the Palio, what to, where to go and from maid to receptionist there seemed to be a good spirit.
