The end of a long day's drive and nowhere to stay. Driving around Sienna at dusk looking for hotels is frustrating. They are hid better than a hidden thing and so we drove on only to drive pass the Arcobaleno - stroke of luck! There was a free room. An extremely helpful receptionist who when we asked if we could stay a second night phoned other hotels for us as the Arcobaleno not surprisingly was fully booked. It is downhill to the station (hey Man from Calgary if you moan on TA that you have to walk uphill to the hotel from the station don't forget to return to the station you walk downhill; alternatively get a life!!). You walk up to you room (obviously such a boring chore for some folk!!) but then again the beds are comfortable and the room well provided and clean. The breakfast was excellent and the dining area relaxing and comfortable. Walking back downhill to the shopping centre by the station you can get the escalators right up to the top of the hill to within a 5 minute stroll to the old town.

We didn't stay a second night but in the Old Town we bought a large Kilim carpet and an easy to carry carpet bag from 'Mascagni', a 'Tapetti Orientali' shop on Via Montanini. It is closing at the year end according to the very helpful manager so hurry along as there are truly some very real bargains to be had.

Room Tip: Find one unoccupied!!

The staff in this B&B are great. They were extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms were pristine but the decor in the bedroom is becoming slightly dated. The bathroom was fab and the shower gel/shampoo that is supplied smelt lovely. Breakfast was also great with a good selection of food and drink. The outside from the hotel is also very well maintained. The biggest let down is the location. Its a 15 minute walk to the city gate and then another 15 minutes from there to the main piazza. As Sienna is a small place you do feel out of the mix. I think due to the location the price should slightly cheaper maybe €80-90 a night for a double room instead of the €100+ that was paid. Ideally I would of scored this hotel 3.5 out of 5 but unfortunately the TA app doesn't allow for half stars.

Good place, close to the city center, but we really did not enjoy our stay (1 night), The hotel is uncomfortable. It does not have elevator and the room we stayed was very simple. Two beds for kids, not for adults.
Too expensive according to the facilities.

Room Tip: Be careful with twin beds room. The beds are really uncomfortable.

The hotel is situated conveniently on the road that takes you into the city when you arrive from Florence (hence the street's name Via Fiorentina;)). When I arrived, I was positively took note that it was very well maintained, clean inside and outside. As it was the time of the Palio, I was glad that I could leave the car at the hotel and take a bus into town from a close-by bus stop and even if I returned late and there were no busses anymore, it was just a 30 minute walk from the Piazza del Campo and thankfully Siena is safe to do that. But what I'd like to underline was the friendliness of the staff. I felt welcome from the moment of arrival, got lots of tips around the Palio, what to, where to go and from maid to receptionist there seemed to be a good spirit.

This is a small, comfortable boutique style hotel with low key, tasteful decor in the rooms and public areas. Very helpful multilingual staff. Generous breakfast buffet. Adjacent restaurant (separately owned) very good. Really good accommodation.

This hotel was just perfect for us. A combination of well-designed rooms, friendly and helpful staff, free parking and wi-fi, and good location can not be beaten easily. It's not quite at the old city center, but if you have a car, than this is just perfect as it's only a few minute drive away. The bed is great, the breakfast also and you can sit at some kind of a covered outside terrace, which is very pleasant. The hotel seems well-built and of newer date (or just well-maintained). No elevator, though, which could be inconvenient for some older guests. But I'm sure the hotel staff would help to carry the luggage if needed. All in all, very recommended.

Great B&B, with nice rooms and great breakfast in a cute dining space. The lady at the reception was very helpful and kind. Free parking as well.
The only disanvantage for me is that the B&b isn't in the amazing historic centre of the city.
