“Casual dining, fantastic food”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

We stumbled upon this place during our walk around Siena. It's very unassuming from the outside, but the food will speak for itself. We got the local specialties which were recommended, one of them included an appetizer with pecorino cheese, wrapped in wild boar prosciutto and covered in truffles. It was AMAZING. Everything was fresh and with a local flair. When you go, ask for recommendations and local dishes. They have a very friendly and helpful staff.

“Small gem in Siena”
Reviewed 23 October 2012

Le sorelline was recommended by our b and b manager, and it did not disappoint. Away from the touristy crowds near El Campo and the Duomo, you can choose from a display case for take out or eat in. BUT, they also have a restaurant, where we had a great, reasonable lunch off a varied menu. Fresh produce is the key and their daily specials reflect what the market offered that day, for our day, it was mushrooms. One of us ordered, the pici with mushrooms, delicious, loaded with mushrooms in a broth that was seasoned very well. We also had the non-special pici (thick spaghetti noodle) with tomato, sausage, and basil. Not big hunks of sausage but infused in the sauce and perfect for a hearty lunch in preparatoon for all the walking one does in Siena. The server could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Pretty generous glass of house wine was a nice complement. We'll no doubt return here before our stay is over.

“a small gem in Siena”
Reviewed 20 September 2012

Last night I enjoyed a great meal in this small gem of restaurant. They have a great list of Tuscan
specialties including funghi and truffle pastas that are exceptionally well done. They also do the tuscan steak in some very interesting and delicious versions including one with balsamic and radicchio that was fantastic! Good wine selections that are also inexpensive and great deserts. It is small and reservations would be advisable as the locals have discovered this gem.
