“Paola is GREAT!”
Reviewed 28 September 2013 via mobile

Paola worked with me, a single traveler, to find a wine tour that I could join just to save me money. I joined 3 others on on a tour of 3 wineries, one with lunch, and two small towns. We all had a great time and Paola was full of interesting information. I would definitly tour with her again.

“Wonderful day with a lovely guide”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

It is expensive to hire a guide for the day, but if you want to enjoy sights not easy to get to without a car, it can be well worth it. And if you are lucky to have Paola as your guide, then it is definitely worth it.

Paola picked us up promptly at our hotel on 30 August and took us to the small, charming town of Buonconvento and to a Pecorino cheese farm for a lesson on cheese making.

We then traveled to the Santa Giulia Winery, producers of Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. Not only did we have a tour of the lovely small winery, but the owner prepared a delicious lunch for us with all homemade products from their "farm." He was very generous with his wine tastings and he topped the meal off with a glass of their private stock of Vin Santo dessert wine. We felt as though we were guests and felt privileged to be able to enjoy this private lunch in the family home.

Our next stop was the hill town of Montalcino where we had an hour to wander around and enjoy the beautiful town and views. We ended our tour at the very interesting Abbey of Sant'Antimo.

While driving Paola provided us with interesting information about everything we were seeing and happily answered all our many questions. We were never rushed and she was most accommodating and a pleasure to be with.

Book a day with Paola for an experience you won't soon forget, it was definitely a highlight of our two-week trip.

“Truly the Highlight of your Trip”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

Paola was just the best! She picked us up right in front of our B & B for our Brunello Tour The drive thru Tuscany was beautiful. Montalcino was great hill town ... but the vineyards took us to were perfect. Delicious lunch, wine and incredible hospitality. We felt like part of the family ... tourists are not Americans! Do not miss this experience with Paola, the trip to Siena is truly amazing.

“Paola is the best”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

Paola is the best, the is no other way to describe our experience.

We hired Paola for a full-day Chianti region tour. Having read the reviews, we had high expectations and were very much looking forward to our wine tour. No only did she provide us with an amazing day out, she exceeded all our expectations.

Paola is charming, personable, well informed, patient, and fun to be with. Her English is masterful and her knowledge of the Chianti region endless.

We highly recommend her tours, and would definitely book her again if we ever come back to Florence.

“Best part of our European adventure!”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

There's a reason Paola has perfect reviews across the board -- she's magnificent! She went above and beyond to show me, my mother and friend an amazing time while we were visiting Siena. Her tour was the highlight of the trip, and it's something we will be talking about forever.

We went on the Brunello tour and it was fabulous. We stopped by three family-run wineries, a monastery, and adorable town to wander around for a bit. The trip just wouldn't have been as great without Paola. She had amazing relationships with each of the winemakers, and having grown up in Siena, was the greatest tour guide we could've asked for.

She's kind, funny, and gracious. And her English is perfect!

I recommend her to anyone going to Italy (even if you don't have Siena on your itinerary yet ... add it!).

If I could give Paola more than 5 stars I would!

Note: Do not eat breakfast that day as you will be eating a ton of amazing food throughout the tour! :)

Cheers to Paola!
