“Super-friendly staff!”
Reviewed 15 September 2011

50-75m or so from the major bus plaza, approx 7-10 min walk to the main square the heart of Siena, the convenience and friendly help from the staff more than make up for any complaints about noise (i admit-noise=action...). Happy to have a breakfast before setting out each day. All the buses go here, can get anywhere, walk all around Siena from here. I was in Siena at high season and the price was very very reasonable - and i was "tipped off" by the staff when to go and see the festive parades for the special festival during August. Siena - the place to be in Tuscany, smaller and friendlier than Florence its traditional enemy...

first of all don't watch the movie 1408 before u going to visit this hotel.
the smell in the hallways and in the room was awful. there is only one person in the hotel that takes care of all the visitors requests. and after 9 pm this person leaves, so there is nobody at the desk. the elevator is also not working after 9 pm, so we had to use the stairways.

A very nice hotel with an excellent location. Within 10 minutes you can reach every place of interest.

The hotel offer all kind of services you need for your stay in Siena. The breakfast was very good. We also loved the noise around the hotel - the noise gave us the feeling of being in the heart of ITALY.

At last: the staff added value to our stay - always kindly helping us - thank you Rosa & Jannicke.

We liked this hotel - easy to find (we drove). Free parking a few blocks away. Right inside the city walls - very charming at night. The room was a bit small, but comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, especially the shower area but we worked it out. Great central location to do day trips to other parts of Tuscany. Nice and relaxing breakfast downstairs. Friendly staff. The elevator did turn off at night - so you had to take the stairs - but this did not bother us. Had a pleasant 3 night stay - would stay here again.

We booked this hotel for one night, it was cheap in comparison to other hotel accommodation in Siena.

The hotel in general was tired, worn out, depressing and dark. The carpets in the hotel were dreadful and it smelt of stale cigarettes. That said it was as clean as possible.

Our room had its own toilet, sink and shower, however we were unable to get any hot water from the shower!

On a positive note, this hotel was in a good location, close to the centre of Siena and the staff were very helpful.

It was bearable for one night, but I wouldn't want to think I was staying any longer. I can manage basic, but this place looks like something out of the 70's and needs some money spending on it to update it.

A quite simple and a bit worn down. But considering the price and the good location, both me and my wife considered this a bargain.
Breakfast was simple but OK. If you look for something fancy and are anoyed by a worn carpet I suggest you keep looking, but if you only need a place to sleep I'd recommend it.
Note: The elevator is shut down after 20:00. So don't rely on that, which we did, but we got a room on the ground floor instead.

We've been around Tuscany some and Siena is definetly among the favorites. Just sitting at the Piazza Il Campo with a glass of Prosecco watching the scenery is something extra.
