Fantastic location, easy to walk into the main areas of Siena. A basic room, but perfect if you are going to see the town and not spend your time in a hotel room. It seems to be a trend in Italy that they send their staff on holidays in the busiest tourist season, which is a little strange to us in Australia. Unfortunaly the restaurant was closed as a result of this. Had wifi and air con which was most important to us.

We have stayed only for two nights in this hotel, and I picked it mainly due to it's location. I knew where to look since I've lived in the city before.
The location of the hotel is perfect, it's about 5 minutes walk from the Piazza del Campo, which is the center of the city, and the best place to be when you want to go out. It is also on the edge of the area you can drive with your car, since the center is closed from most cars.
The room had nothing special, be aware of the different kind of power outlets than what you could find in the rest of Europe - this is the special Italian one.
The bathroom was ok, both the room and the bathroom were clean and nice.
The breakfast was included, it was quite good.
The free internet access costs you a free registration through your facebook (or other social media) account, but I've had no problems with it so far. Once you've done it, it's quite fast too.
The air conditioning in the room was not perfect, we could not really change anything on it, but thank God, it was set up to a cooling level that was just comfortable for us.
The hotel itself is located next to the Stadium, where you can park your car (about 20-25 euros/day) or you can leave it at the free car park of the Fortezza, which is about 800 meters away.

My husband and I have just spent two nights here and have found Hotel Chiusarelli a good place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned and had a nice little balcony so we could get fresh air. The staff were nice, not very chatty but helpful and the hotel was within walking distance to all the main attractions in Siena. It is a very noisy hotel though, with the sound of traffic and other guests in the bathroom travelling through the walls all day and night, which didn't really bother us, but could impact any light sleepers. Free WiFi was a good addition and the breakfast was reasonable as well.

We got a very good price staying at this hotel from Sunday to Monday in July and were positively surprised at the quality of the hotel upon arrival. Rooms were spacious, clean and pleasantly air-conditioned. Staff very extremely nice and helpful regarding restaurant suggestions etc., and the lady even insisted on carrying my suitcase up the stairs to the second floor... There was one young gentleman, though, who had a quite bad attitude and seemed to be annoyed at our presence. However, the other staff members made up for it. The hotel is situated just outside the entrance of the old town (and tiny streets) of Siena, which makes it perfect for arriving with a car. The hotel has a parking lot, but if it's full they will direct you to nearby public (free) parking. Hotel Chiusarelli is perfect to have as a base for exploring this lovely and fascinating old town.

Great location to see Siena from close to the old town and main bus station. Good breakfasts in a lovely dining room. Spotlessly clean rooms and hotel. Barbara at reception was really helpful with lots of information on where to go in the city and country side and advise on shopping in Florence. Ask for back room with balcony. There is not many. Facing soccer oval. Security was also good. We paid under 80 euro a night for double room.

Room Tip: Room at back of hotel with balcony, non smoking

Very warm welcome in the middle of the night on the front desk. Walking distance from railway station allthough little muscle strength (and gps) needed. Ipad free app from Tuscany was very helpful ( offline map ). Furniture was old school and very cozy. Bed was nice and stiff good for resting after a long journey. Breakfast was served at terrace. very nice and lot of variety. building is historical atmosphere and paintings in the sealings in the main lobby seemed really old and beautiful.
