The hotel is extremely well managed and directed. It is clean, and service is good, even to the extent of their parking your car for anyone of a nervous disposition! Many rooms are split level with the bed on a gallery up a rather utilitarian circular staircase. Windows are tiny and rooms can get a bit dark. The one draw back is there is nowhere - absolutely nowhere - to put any clothes. Fortunately the floors are clean! So it is a better hotel for a short break where you can live from a suitcase. The bathroom was poky with only a shower (no bath). But the staff do all they can to make one welcome. Tea on the terrace is servied willingly - and uzsefully as the hotel is a long walk from anywhere. There is a pleasant local cafe nearby but no restaurants and the hotel does not serve meals other than breakfast. Breakfast though is good (apart from the coffee!) and there are no eggs - but then this is Italy. One day a family staying appeared to load up trays and remove much of the buffet to their rooms (which I gather was subsequently transferred to the walls by some badly behaved children). I would suggest the staff need to be just a little less accommodating of such inconsiderate guests! Overall it´s a lovely hotel and if you take your car then maybe a camping wardrobe or cupboard - would help. Even a folding table. Parking is not cheap but nor is it anywhere in Italy. The hotel is easy to find and easy to access.

Great value at $90 euro for a nice little hotel not too far from the walled city. Ask for a room with a view, it is spectacular. It is with a ten minute walk from the main square in Siena. The shopping in Siena can't be beat!!! The hotel was very clean and the breakfast room was beautiful-I wish it would have been warm enough to eat outside. They have covered parking but the Internet was not good. The manager said that it was going to be a "project" with all the brick and mortar walls inbetween. I believe that they will get it done before long though. Parking and breakfast was included. A good value!!!

My parents and I booked a triple room for three nights in the beautiful Hotel Santa Caterina. After reading about the triple rooms (which are lofted with the bedroom above and the bathroom on the ground floor) I emailed the hotel to see if we could have a room with no stairs (my mom has bad knees). They graciously upgraded us to the apartment which was amazing with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and an amazing view over the valley. The rooms were beautifully decorated and I felt like we were staying in scene out of "Under the Tuscan Sun."
The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The hotel is located just outside the town walls and the bus stop into Siena is directly outside the hotel. The breakfast had a good selection in a very charming room. The bar area was also very beautiful.
I was waiting for a package to arrived and it came after we had departed, the staff sent it back to me in France which was very appreciated.
Overall great location, rooms, and service.

We read up on this hotel on this very website and boy!! was it ever bang on.. The hotel is charming, the staff is very polite and professioanl. The coffee is amazing.. I miss it already. The breakast was fresh, beautifully displayed, and had many healthy choices. The walk is long to the center of town... but... no worries you can walk off all the ice cream and bread you may consume.
The hotel had an amzing view of the tuscan hill side. We had an apartment that suited our needs of a family of 5. Very clean and very Tuscan.. Highyly recomend to all.

What a tremendous hotel, we stayed here twice in our two week adventure in Italy. The staff was so gracious and accomodating. The view from the guest room windows is breathtaking, the Tuscan hillside just as I always imagined. The town is fascinating and the shopping and food tremendous. Would recommend to all.
