This hotel is not ordinary hotel. It starts with a fantastic garden around the building and keeps with charming main building and rooms building. The room we had was so comfortable and cozy. The staff was great and very friendly and helpful.
If allready come to stay the night you have to dinner in the villa restaurant, excellent Toscana gridiants and young Sheff how makes you feel happy.

This villa is what you have in mind of Tuscany country side. It's 10 min drive to city center or 45 min walk, a beautiful walk. The grounds and garden are so beautiful and well kept. We had a quadruplet room with a balcony with the view of the hills and olive grooves(see my pics). The bathroom was very spacious. A/C worked just fine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that we didn't like was the breakfast. It was basically bread and cheese, it was lacking a good selection of eggs and fruits.
But all and all, I can't wait to go back magical Siena and this beautiful villa.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony, you don't want to miss the view and the smell of the trees.

Dear guest,
thank you for the time taken to live this review . We do have a strategic position , the hotel is located not far from Siena , easily reached by bus, car or just on foot, but on the same time you will have the possibility to stay in oasis of green and during hot season to experience the dinner on our terrace under linden trees .

It will be our pleasure to welcome you once again in Siena on a future visit.

We were looking for a fully equipped hotel for a week's R&R. Sunshine, pool, gardens, decent sized room and city nearby. This olde worlde Italian villa hits the mark. Everything we needed (perhaps not enough sunshine, but that's not the hotel's fault) with pleasant staff, bar open all hours, full facilities including working free wifi, space and stye.

Spacious room and grounds; relaxed atmosphere; helpful and friendly staff; good swimming pool. Only slight disappointment was the breakfast (no fresh juices; uninteresting cheese; no salad) but this was a minor quibble in the overall scheme of things. If you have the time to enjoy both Siena and relaxation at the beginning and end of the day this is an excellent choice.

Totally unplanned, we happened to be in Siena on July 1, the day before July's Il Palio. We were able to get a last-minute booking at Villa Scacciapensieri for a fairly reasonable price and staff pleasantly accommodated our very late check in. While the hotel's furnishings were a little dated, it was well-appointed and our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom.
The special thing about this Villa is the large swimming pool and very lovely grounds. Lots of nice places to lounge and relax under the shade trees. Located not far from Siena's city centre, but seemingly away from it all in the Tuscan countryside. We had a car, but I noticed a bus stop at the end of the driveway.
Staff worth noting is: Luca, who was very helpful in getting us our last-minute accommodations, as well as providing great information about Siena and Il Palio (where to sit, time, etc.)
We would definitely stay at Villa Scacciapensieri again.

Room Tip: We had an upper floor and our window opened up to a view of quintessential Italian countryside. The hotel does have an elevator.
