Room is like in a castle, very pretty

Nobody in the hotel speaks proper English and they charged my card without notifying me. The wifi in the room is weak. The heater automatically turns off at night, so it's cold in the room. Breakfast is too simple, only 3 bread and coffee for us 2 ppl.

This id definitely value for money. Excellent location and very friendly staff. This is a low budget guest house that is not only good for solo travelers like myself but for families too. The only downside is that you have to climb the stairs so if you have a lot of luggage this could be a challenge. Also registration and the guest rooms are at two different locations which can be confusing particularly after dusk.

Very nice authentic accommodation with old city of Siena essence.
In the old center of city, with walking distance to all major attraction (Duomo & Plaza del Campo). The staff is nice and very helpful

Stayed here with family in November. It's one floor of an ancient building and the night we stayed, we took 3 rooms and there were no other guests, so it was quite nice. It's typical of some of these Italian B&Bs in that there were no staff there and no reception area to speak of, so really just a series of rooms on the same floor of a building. We picked up the key from the restaurant down the street and paid our bill there at some stage during the stay. Our family room for four was well sized, with a nice comfortable double bed and the single beds on a mezzanine level upstairs. The steep open tread staircase might be a consideration and height for taller guests at the mezzanine, may also be an issue but it wasn't for us. The en suite is tiny, again not an issue for us. The double room was lovely and very comfortable apparently too and the triple room had a single room with a double mezzanine. Breakfast consisted of sachets of coffee, good quality tea bags, dried toast biscuits etc with jam, so we didn't bother with that. The room is equipped with a mini fridge too. It was a cold night and we asked that the heating be activated. There seemed to be some legal restriction on this in Italy at the time!? but the management nevertheless obliged. The room was clean and comfortable, pleasantly furnished with a mix of antiques and typical furnishings of the area. The B & B is very well placed for sightseeing in Siena. Management also directed us to free parking about a 10 minute easy (and flat) walk away, which was appreciated and we enjoyed a tasty meal in the sister restaurant. Although this is on a busy little street, the rooms are to the rear of the building and so are lovely and quiet. Street noise is not an issue. This was a great value comfortable option for a family of four and in a great location.

After paying for the room we found out that the air conditioning was broken and if you attempted to use it the fuse would blow. After trying to communicate this to the staff in broken Italian they came up and fixed the fuse but told us off for trying to use the air conditioning. This was in July and we had paid for that room because of the air conditioning. It was very disappointing.

This was advertised as a B&B and to check in at the restaurant down the street. We arrived at lunchtime, at the wooden door in the wall of an ancient Sienese building by, Taxi, and thought "this can't be right!". But investigating in the restaurant that was full of Italians eating the most delicious food, we were escorted the 20 yards back up the road to the door and climbed the stone stairwell to the most charming apartment. The room was clean and reasonably well appointed and very comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant as they gave a discount but would gladly have paid the full price. The food was excellent. The proprieter spoke good english but the couple that did all the work and showed us the room only spoke Italian. Thankfully they were very forgiving regarding our language skills.
We would definitely go again and Siena is a wonderful city to visit.
Close to full marks for me.

Room Tip: Only three to chose from! Rooms have air conditioning but we didn't need to use it.
