With the windows opened and the breezes blowing the long lace curtains into the room and the Tuscan valley in view, we were in heaven. We love this place. The staff bend over backwards to help in any way possible. It's a 20 minute walk to Il Campo, restaurants, and the sites of Siena. The room was clean, spacious, and very nice. Plenty of parking. Perfect.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra to have a room to the valley for a beautiful view.

A beautiful hotel set in a historic palace situated on a hill in its own grounds with lovely views of the Tuscan hills around it. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated and in traditional Tuscan style. Finding the safe located in the wall as part of the fresco, is a brilliant idea. The hotel is just a 20 minute walk from the centre of town but there is a very regular bus service from just outside the hotel. It is also one of the few places to stay near the town that does not charge for car parking.

This boutique hotel is an oasis with wonderful large rooms and magnificant views across the valley to the city and countryside beyond. The staff were very accommodating and organized a privately guided two hour walking tour of Siena for us. Breakfast on the terrace was a treat and was also a great spot for a glass of wine in the late afternoon. The only possible downside to this hotel for some is its location. It is located about 600 mtr outside the city walls and the same distance again to the Campo. However, if you are like us and enjoy a walk this is not an issue. Don't forget you can't park inside the the city walls anyway and the hotel does have good secure parking, and is easy to find and drive to.

We stayed in Siena last October 2012 and chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor recommendations. We enjoyed a wonderful two nights; we loved the feel and decor of our room, great variety of breakfast food, delicious coffee! Giacomo was a wonderful host, provided great recommendations such as Il Rialto-check it out for dinner. Be sure to pick up food and a bottle of wine at a market in Siena and enjoy eating the wonderful local food back at your hotel patio. Giacomo being a great host, provided us with lovely, vintage crystal glasses for our wine, nice touch Giacomo! We walked into town multiple times, it is a bit of a walk but very pretty walk and very doable. Can't wait to return for another visit.

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor at the back of the building, wonderful views of the olive trees and Tu...

Hotel is located a bit outside of the city (20 minute walk or short bus ride) with beautiful views of the Siena countryside. The hotel owners/staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Bits of the room were are a bit dated and breakfast is simplistic, but it was a great experience overall.

An wonderful hotel, highly advised:
• Very nice and decorated room, with view of the hills around Siena
• Very kind staff, excellent service – always looking to help
• Very good breakfast
• Very good location: 7 minutes by a nearby bus to Siena center, but still in a villa inside a very large garden with trees.
• Surely when we are around, we shall come again
• We advise this hotel to all our friends

The ceiling of your bright room is painted a la fresco. The bathroom has tiled floors. Your window view is the Tuscan countryside. Sit on the patio for a great breakfast or afternoon glass of wine and look at the towers of the old city. A leisurely stroll or easy bus ride gets you to the heart of this gorgeous city. The hosts were extremely accommodating and informative to our every needs. Just wish we had stayed longer...next time! Travel tip: book early and direct for best rates.
