“Beautiful and Charming - the nicest hosts”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

I was welcomed by Carlo to this very beautiful and charming hotel in the middle of everything in Siena. Carlo made great recommendations on where to eat, as I wanted to go where the locals went.
The room was one of the most beautiful rooms I stayed in Italy, with a perfect mix of old and new, antique furniture, bathroom was beautifully renovated with modern amenities. Their terrace provides a view of most of Siena and I'd highly recommend watching a sunset from here.
Breakfast was amazing. Shamali was such a great hostess. Breakfast consisted of coffee, several choices of juices, pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, and delish fresh fruits.
One of the best experiences in my Italy trip!
Would love to return!

Carlo and Maria Louisa provide personal and friendly service in this quirky space with a terrace, an honor bar, and 24-hour access to fruit and candy and nuts and a lovely lounge. Our room was huge with a gorgeous view of he town with the Duomo at its center. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom with its products and towels was the best of our trip. A delicious breakfast started off the day. Maria Louisa saved us when we screwed up a bus reservation and Carlo recommended and reserved fabulous restaurants. When we had to leave too early for breakfast, Carlo prepared us breakfast go-bags for the bus. As long as you do not care about a bustling lobby and 24-hour front desk, this is THE PLACE to stay.

We stayed 4 nights and can't recommend the hotel highly enough. In addition to others' positive comments on this site, I'll add that we had left our camera in Bari and were headed to Venice. Maria Luisa arranged for courier service to get it from Bari to Venice, and even called our B&B hosts in Venice to follow up! We loved our stay.

Perfect location, beautiful view and tastefully decorated hotel. We also discovered that pizzeria downstairs offers great food at a very reasonable value and this is where all Italians go. The view from the hotel is stunning and it's an ideal place for honeymoon

I stayed at this fantastic hotel for 3 nights with my partner in August 2013 and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience there. The attention to detail in everything they do here is absolutely exemplary. From the choice of furniture and toiletry products, to the variety of fruit and other goodies on the breakfast table, everything about this place reflects a true passion for hospitality. The hosts were in fact among the kindest and most friendly I have met in any hotel I have been to.
The breakfast is an experience in itself: gorgeous fresh fruit, juices and pastries to be enjoyed on the hotel's terrace with magnificant views of the Duomo and the Catehdral.
The only slight downside was that the shower in the room we stayed in was quite small ... but other than that everything was simply perfect.

We stayed for 3 nights from 22 August
Loved the feel of this Boutique Hotel. The staff were friendly and were happy to help and go that extra mile, especially Maria Louisa who welcomed us when we arrived and went out of her way with helpful tips for places to eat, things to see and do in her beautiful Quirky Siena.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a shower that works well.
The view from the terrace is amazing! We had a fabulous breakfast everyday overlooking Siena.
The only thing I could say that was negative is we would have loved an English speaking Movie Channel! There were so many channels but only MTV was in English.
Apart from that I would highly recommend staying here...

Campo Regio Relais provided the feeling of living in a flat in Siena with the convenience and service of a fine B&B/hotel. The hosts were perhaps the most friendly, helpful people I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry - no exaggeration. For instance, after taking our bags from the rented Audi A6 (a big car for Siena's streets) a young man named Giovanni road with me to the public garage to make sure I arrived safely, dealt with the parking workers in Italian and walked back to the hotel with me. Mary Louisa made excellent recommendations for dinner at local neighborhood restaurants. CRP has 5 rooms, each of which is unique; we booked a suite with a barreled roof that looked out the back and a smaller room for our two teenaged sons that looked out onto the surprisingly quiet street. The view from our suite, and the terrace one floor above, was spectacular: the Duomo was on a hill directly a half-mile away; the Basilica Domenico was a few hundred yards to the right; and the valley flowed out in between. A lovely continental breakfast was served in the mornings, and the public lounge and terrace were open all day and night (with an honor bar, books to read, etc.). The only downside to the hotel was rather poor WIFI reception in the rooms. It would be an ideal location for a romantic stay, or a small family like ours.

Room Tip: Rooms in back have spectacular views.
