“Beautiful medieval castle in the Tuscan countryside”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

My wife and I stayed at Castello delle Quattro Torra for three days, and it was fantastic. The rooms are charming and clean, the views from the castle's towers are beautiful, and all of the people working in the castle were very kind and helpful. If you don't speak Italian, don't worry because they all speak English. I highly recommend this place and we plan on going back with the whole family.

Pro tip: The apartamento has an attached kitchen and a large sitting room, but is not located in one of the towers. The views are still great. We stayed in this room and loved it.

Pro tip 2: If Nicola (the owner) offers to take you to his family's farm-to-table restaurant, do it! You're in for a treat.

Room Tip: Choose the apartamento if you want more space (it's huge), and the tower rooms if you want the v...

My wife and I found Castello delle Quattro Torra on the internet and it looked amazing.
The castle exceeded all of our expectations for our visit to Siena. I think the romance of staying in a 13th century castle can't be beat.
We stayed in the Blue apartment with views of Siena and the surrounding countryside which were amazing from that part of the castle (approx. 4 stories up). It was the perfect place to wakeup and enjoy the view over a cup of coffee while planning the days activities. It was also very romantic watching the sunset over Siena from such a special place.
I walked different parts of the property everyday and just loved the sights and sounds of the country.
A recommendation to anyone wishing to have an unforgettable trip to Siena.
We also took the recommendation from Nicola and Valeria to eat at their farmhouse which is nearby. There we three couples in our group and the food, wine, and company for dinner made for a wonderful memory.
My hat is off to the chef!
An unforgettable stay =)

Room Tip: We loved the blue room.

Thank you so much for your nice review and for you appreciation of the castle and all the corners of the property.....in fact the castle itself wants to thank you since with your stay here you contributed to the preservation of this precious piece of the Tuscan historical heritage. Hoping to welcome you here again some time in the future.

Thank you to Nicola and his wonderful staff for the special 3 nights we spent in the tower room at Quattrotorra! What a beautiful castle B&B with amazing views of the Siena area landscape! We were pleased we chose to stay more than one night, so we could visit some of the many hill towns in the area. The castle was easy to find and navigate (no treacherous roads leading to it) and it was clean and tidy inside, not to mention full of beauty. The breakfast was just enough with a warm smile from our server. Only one tiny disappointment was the cappuccino at breakfast was not as good as most are in Italy. Overall, a favorite spot for us and we would love to return, if we ever get the chance.... Jeff and Elaine Polzer (USA)

If you are going to be in Siena, you have to stay here. It's that simple. The experience of staying in a real Medieval castle is unparalleled. But the small town charm is the real winner here. Nicola & Valeria make you feel like family. And eating breakfast with that amazing view of Tuscany feels like a damn fairytale. We never wanted to leave. Also, if you can, do the cooking class with Nonna Ciana. It doesn't get any better than being taught how to make fresh pasta at a Tuscan farm house by a real Italian grandmother. Seriously. This place was an experience that my family and I will NEVER forget.

Thank you for your nice review. Happy to hear that you really enjoyed your stay in a real 13th century castle and found it such a memorable experience but did you know that with your stay here you actually contributed to preserving this historical structure? So thank you for that too. .. a hug from Nonna Ciana at the cooking class and best wishes from all of us!

This place is fantastic. Valeria was a gracious hostess, and the castel and rooms could not have been more beautiful. My husband and I woke up every morning to views of beautiful, green hills in the Tuscan countryside. It was a perfect stay and we can't wait to go back!

Everything was surnatural.

Nicola (the owner) and his family made our stay such an unreal experience.
There is only three rooms in the Castle with an amazing view in each tower.

The castle is close (5 mins by car) to Sienne and surrounded by vineyard and olive tree.

Do not miss this stop when visiting Sienne.

We stayed for three nights and wanted to stay for more. It is the most charming place we have ever stayed, with great views, lovely hosts (Nicola and his assistant Valeria), superb breakfasts, only a 5 minute drive to Siena, etc. If you can handle spiral staircases then stay in the tower room. Another suggestion is to do the cooking class offered at Nicola's nearby farm...indeed, these days and the cooking class were the highlight of a three week long honeymoon for my wife.
