“Perfect location; great service”

The B&B is conveniently located in the old town. The owner and her father were more than welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was varied and delicious, even providing cappuchino upon request. Also tea and biscotti all day in a little dining area on each floor. It is a great value and we would highly recommend a stay there. Siena is a favorite town and this B&B made the visit even more charming.

We only stayed 1 night here, but really enjoyed it. The two women who we met at reception (one on the day we arrived, another one on the day we left) were very friendly and accommodating. We had a suite room which was spacious and comfortable. The decor was charming - frescoes on the ceiling, antique furniture (kind of a pleasant "shabby chic" feel to it). The bathroom was totally modern and renovated. Very central location - and double-paned windows to keep the noise down so totally quiet in the room with the windows shut. There was a TV and A/C although we didn't use either. Wifi worked fine (except in the more inner room of the suite where the signal didn't reach unfortunately). Breakfast was included and was a nice spread of various food/drinks to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived outside their normal reception hours and they were very accommodating. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly. Our room was very spacious, including a nice bathroom. The location is excellent - right in the middle of the historic center. The breakfast offered was very nice, there was a wide array of options. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Siena.

The other rave reviews are valid, I have little to add. This is a beautiful little hotel right in the historic centre of the medieval city. We had the Liberty room which was so spacious after our tiny room in Venice and very tasteful. One night our sleep was disrupted by a nearby bar although the window is well sound insulated and the other nights the bar was quiet. The service was wonderful, towels & sheets lovely quality, good WIFI and a sitting area where we could eat our locally bought snacks or help ourselves to beverages 24 hours. There were a lot of stairs but I was offered help with my case which was kind. Unreservedly recommend.

We stayed for three nights this month. Elisa was very helpful and responded to my emails promptly. She is very sweet. The attention to detail in the room was appreciated. Nice towels, a good shower, a very comfortable bed, thick windows. The windows block out most of the noise down below, and I had an app on my phone to mask what sounds got through. Problem solved. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. The breakfast was good. The location was great. It was a classy place and we were very happy there.

This ancient home is a great find in Siena. Family owned and run, it has great charm, great breakfasts, great location and offers a pleasant stay. The owners, especially Elisa, give great advice about places to eat and what to see, how to organize time. Stairs are wide, steep and many as are found in many older homes. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean with older murals in some. Parking in Siena is very difficult and the owners give good advice about how to drop off luggage and then where to park the car. Our room overlooked the narrow street and could have been noisy at times (Halloween, who knew?) EXCEPT for the double shutters. We would definitely stay there again and enjoyed our 5 days immensely. It was a perfect base for day visits to the nearby hill towns and evenings in a lively and lovely city.

I have found this hotel through Rick Steve's book, then looked at the pictures on the internet. It seemed like a nice b&b. What a disappointment! The room, they had only suite available, looked nothing like the photos, was dumpy, has not been painted for years, old cheap light fixtures, old furniture that was literally falling apart, smallest tv that you can imagine, the a/c that did not have a working remote control, so it was useless. That was not even our main problem with the room. As it turned out the windows had no sound insolation, and we could not sleep till 3:00 am, due to the bar right down the street. In the morning, tired, irritated we checked out of the hotel, just to find the hotel NH Excelsior down the street for the same price, modern, light and clean. What a difference!

Room Tip: Do not recommend it.

I always perfer to not reply to the reviews, because I prefer that our guests feel free to write their real experience with us.
This time I can’t avoid doing this.
Reading your review was like reading about another bed and breakfast: I couldn’t recognize our suite in your description.
We have restored the suite in the 2009 and every winter we call a decorator who paints the parts that can be damaged by the everyday life in the B&B...
We have choosen to put old fornitures in the respect of the old house in which we are, but they are restored, so they don’t have any problem...
The remote control of the air conditioning was in the room, I personally checked it.
The television is not a big one, but it is a new flat screen tv with standard hotel size.
It could be that there was a special event in the bar behind of us that saturday night, but with our soundproof glasses I think that the noise was not that much...
I’m not used to hear this words from our guests and I was really sad and shocked when I read your reveiw.
I’m really sorry that you didn’t feel comfortable with us. The NH hotel is a nice, modern, international hotel, but it is a different thing from us. Maybe a b&b in an historical building was not what you were looking for.
