We stayed at this hotel for two nights on the 8th and 9th of August 2017. We fell in love with Siena and this hotel. The hotel only has nine rooms so the service feels very personal right from check in, with a complimentary Asperol Spritz too! The building is very old and historic, I loved it. The bar breakfast area is a vaulted room with medieval looking emblems and paintings on the ceiling. The hotel has a lift for arrival and departure with luggage but I loved using the ancient stairs which were such a fantastic feature of the hotel. The staff were very good and welcoming especially Marco and Magheritta who recommended restaurants, gelateria, ( Copacabana is amazing, 50 metres from the hotel ), gave local information and printed bus timetables for us, great work guys, millie gracie!
The room was a great old room decorated in a modern, boutique way, we loved it. The room was a nice size, quiet and had a nice view of a medieval street from the window. The bathroom was a wet room, decorated to a good standard ( although the water does get everywhere when you shower in a wet room ). We would recommend a visit to Siena and to stay at the Palazzetto Rosso, the service and location is excellent.More
