This gem is about halfway between the central piazza in Assisi and the Basilica of St Francis, on the left side of the road. It is not well marked and thousands of tourists walk past every day.
It is silent inside and photos are not allowed. On the altar there is a monstrance displaying a blessed communion wafer, which signifies the presence of Christ. A nun sits at the back in prayer.
I recommend you to go in, sit at one side for 5 minutes, then move across to the other side. so you can contemplate the frescoes opposite.
