“Ancient beautiful town”
Reviewed 13 January 2014

Beautiful place to go and take your time to visit. The historic city center is on top of the hill so I suggest to visit by car. There are several places in the base (most economical) and at the top of the hill for parking your car. Then you can climb to the top for comfortable escalators. The November 4 Square is the meeting point of the tourists with a large fountain in the center and many cafes and typical restaurants around to enjoy a meal or a comforting coffee. Also suggest to visit the ancient Etruscan tunnels (Rocca Paulina) and enjoy the panoramic views from the top. Finally a picturesque city that breathes art in the streets. Be sure to visit

“I can live without visiting it”
Reviewed 3 January 2014 via mobile

This was a very nice place to visit, however is not something astonishing as many other italian cities. 3-4 hours are enought to see most important atteactions and surroundings.

“Heart of the City”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

We were here in November, so there were no crowds. We were able to enjoy random musicians playing in the square, took time to look at some of the buildings and cafes and shops.

“A big Surprise”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

Becareful where you drive and park. Parking outside the old town is best. There is a parking area below and you can catch an escalator to the top. At this end of the town there is a park with a fantastic Panoramic view down to the rest of Perugia and the mountains in the distance. To save money we brought a picnic lunch along with us and sat and enjoyed the views. We had fun exploring (along with other tourists) the winding medieval laneways looking for the ancient aquaduct. We only spent one afternoon and saw alot. We would love to return and stay a few nights to enjoy the atmosphere in the evening. We were surprised to find plenty of tourists here, even during siesta. Other smaller villages can become a ghost town between 1pm & 4pm.

“Pretty town but not outstanding by Italian standards”

Lovely countryside and pretty town - limited restaurants but quite good. Good as a base for a couple of days
