A stately and gorgeous square in the hub of the city bathed in October sun. The architecture is typically Italian.

This is the main piazza in Perugia. It is the spot to enjoy the old and the modern. There are many restaurants and wine bars where you can sip some wine and take in the magic of the city and watch the parade of passersby.

One of the main piazzas in Perguia and well worth a visit where you get a real sense of the medieval preservation of this city. Also contains the beautiful Maggiore fountain and views onto the historical centre of Perguia. Located just around the back of Piazza Novembre is Via dell'Acquedotto, another famous landmark which is not to be missed.

Take time out to survey the piazzas from this vantage point. We enjoyed a beautiful organic local Chardonnay and accompanying delicious snacks at Saccaria Caffe on two evenings.

Or try the richest hot chocolate at the super friendly little side cafe.
