Owner description: Perugia's Exchange Guild, the home of the region's money changers, dates from the thirteenth-century and boasts some of Italy's best preserved Renaissance frescoes painted by Perugino.

Agree with the reviewer who said this is a frescoed jewel box - perfect description. It's small, but a feast for the eyes with all the color and detail.

Nobile Collegio del Cambio consists of just two rooms (maybe 2 ½ if you count the corridor with coins) and was the former Exchange Guild, thus it’s rich decorations and walls adorned with frescoes by Perugino. It’s like walking into a frescoed jewel box; dazzlingly beautiful and well worth a visit if you enjoy paintings. When I visited they had added a few paintings and reproductions by Sanzio and a self-portrait by Raphael (reproduction). There are ample explanations in both English and Italian in the two, small, brilliantly frescoed rooms.

Its part of the museums included in the 48 hour/5 museums card for 10 euros and represents a good deal. Should you rent the audio guide from the National Museum (truly a disastrous AG for the National Museum, but OK for this and the Capella di San Severo), it can be brought to this museum and used for additional information. I really enjoyed the two small beautiful rooms and recommend knowing about what you are going to see, before buying your ticket to avoid disappointment, as another TA reviewer recommends. You get out of it what you are willing to invest!

Not for the uninitiated, this is not Disneyland and not meant to be charming or "fun", it is flat because thats what frescoes are all about and it certainly is not boring! Do your homework know who Pietro Vannucci might be, read on the Perugian school and this will enchant you. Come in bored with tired feet and suffering from the heat and that's how you will leave.

Unless you are interested in seeing one of the most well known self portraits of Perugino, skip this one, it's not worth the 5 Euros admission. The five bucks don't even buy you a paper ticket that you could keep as souvenir, not to mention any brochures or plans. Yes, it's 5, not 4.50 as the site claims, but this is typical for Italy. And don't be mislead by the glorious web site: it's actually better than the real thing...

Located in the Palazzo dei Priori, it was built in the 15C for the money-changers. There is a small glass cabinet with ridiculously few examples of coins (given that this is the place where all money changed hands!), some spectacular wooden panels and the famous frescoes by Perugino and his pupils, a grand total of two small chambers.
