I love this little restaurant tucked in a small alley in one of Perugia's University areas. Ancient Mrs. Bianca (she is over 90 now) sits everyday for lunch in this trattoria she has opened over 50 years ago. The decor has become vintage meanwhile but it's perfectly clean. The food is traditional Umbrian through and through. Simple, familiar, honest and of excellent quality. Dalla Bianca is an institution in town.
Today with had cappelletti in a chicken stock, Perugia-style tagliatelle in a red sauce with diced chicken livers, beef stuffed with frittata and spinach, perfectly golden fennel rabbit and a good basic red wine.
The atmosphere is great, always crowded by locals. The service is fast and extremely kind. We go there when we want to feel at home!
