“Incredible history, artifacts”
Reviewed 8 June 2013

and they had pages written in many languages for each part of the museum, very helpful. also, catacombs underneath, don't miss them. Off the beaten path, we got directions from our B&B hostess, never would have seen it otherwise.

“Interesting if archeology is your thing”
Reviewed 28 April 2013

Having spent several enchanted hours in the Archeological Museum in Naples, I was expecting something similar here and I was a little disappointed. It’s a well organized museum, hosted in a former Convent. Mainly prehistoric, Etruscan and Umbrian findings. A great deal of photography and good explanation of periods and happenings. Funerary urns, sarcophaghi and Etruscan bronzes. Don’t miss the collection of amulets, I found them very interesting. There is also a complete Etruscan tomb underground, arranged with the items found in it when discovered, thus giving you an excellent idea of those times.

TIP: The upper floor gives you a splendid vista on the Tiber Valley. I just opened a window and took pictures, nobody said anything.

“First Eve to Medieval”
Reviewed 17 January 2013

What an interesting museum. Our host recommended we visit and he was correct. The museum shows the history of humans from the Neanderthal to medieval times. A great history lesson for young and old alike. I highly recommend a visit.
