I really recomend this hostel, it´s not expensive and has high qualitty, it´s well located (near the train station), very clean and with a very cosy staff.. I alrady been her for 3 times and i never had anything bad to say.
They give you a mobility ticket, wich is great because the public transports are a litle expensive and for 5€ you can have a good breakfast.
It´s not an old building, they made some chamgings and it´s quite new!!

I stayed here for three nights in January. I found it very good, the staff were quite friendly, there was access to a kitchen and a supermarket was just a four minute walk away. A nice area downstairs with a tv room and a bookshelf with a range of books to read or swap. Very comfortable.

The only fallback is you have to pay a little extra for breakfast and the reception isn't open 24 hours.

It's a short tram ride into the old part of town - which is where you want to see - and is close to the main train station.

Super clean, very modern, friendly hostel in the heart of Basel. Two minute walk from south train stn (Swiss departures) and 10 min walk from old town centre. Great prices for Basel which is an expensive city in comparison to other mid-sized European cities. Bed comfortable, sink in dorm room, never a wait for shower, and kitchen was huge and accessible. Free Wi-Fi and transit pass was wonderful. Loved this place!

Convenient and stylish place to crash if passing through Basel. Spotlessly clean.
- About 20 mins by bus #50 from Basel Euroairport to SBB Basel.
- Bus is free if you show your hostel reservation - a mobility card for Basel city will be issued when you check in at the hostel.
- Exit the SBB Basel by the Gundelingen exit (up the stairs and across all the tracks/platforms) - 5 min walk from the exit.
- 2 x COOP supermarkets at railway station; hostel kitchen/lounge is great.
- bath towels are free, but fairly small. Showers are great.
- breakfast costs CHF 5 and is very good (juice/cereal/bread/jam/cheese/tea or coffee).
- very helpful staff on reception, free wifi in the hostel.
A little expensive, but worth it for the convenience and facilities.

This is a spotless place to rest your weary head. We had a private double room with shower and toilet which was new and spacious. Electronic card readers are used to open doors. The blinds on the double glazed windows respond to the heat/sun to tilt appropriately to shade the room. It is within an easy stroll of the railway station, The office was not open until 3.30pm when we were there in mid April.. For budget travellers we took a tram 10 or 11 to M Park where there is a Migros supermarket, with restaurant. There are no cooking facilities at the hostel. Breakfast is very basic.

Perfect Service with excellent price/value relation. Quiet location, international flair, guests are treated the "Basel way" - very comfortable, compared to the other swiss people....
Will go again - a very central point to stay in this nice city! Breakfast is included, an important point, because all food prices in Switzerland are high. You get a daily ticket for the regional/local transportation system - the central station is reachable in 5 walking minutes.

reception: good
location: good
room: small but clean, what is expected of a youth hostel

BUT: impossible to sleep until 3 a.m., because of the noise...no insulation.
