The gardens were opposite our hotel so I popped in one sunny afternoon for a visit. The hot-house was a real treat, with small tropical birds calling out and swooping between the lush greenery. There are glass houses filled with cactii and another devoted to water-loving plants, with little fish and small reptiles. The gardens are quite small but are a nice place to sit and relax with the locals on a sunny day. They are open the whole year round so a good place to visit on public holidays - and there is no entrance fee.
