Great hotel. Nice and tidy rooms. Big enough. Gym is brand new and very complete. Will come back. I don't know why they ask ne to add a minimum of 200 characters, when I have nothing else to say I just keep suiet, but that's just me :-)

Room Tip: Bus 30 takes you to the train station

I just recently stayed at The Passage hotel for one night on business. Although there was a slight hiccup prior to my arrival, it was all sorted quickly and efficiently. The hotel is very new which is nice as it is clean and modern throughout. There is also a beautiful patio area which would be great in the summer, further the gym is outstanding for a smaller hotel such as The Passage. Very modern with all the machines/free weights you could ask for. All the staff are very professional and friendly, however a special mention to Agnieszka for her cheerful attitude! Would recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues, will definitely return.

There are times like this when you discover something out of the usual selection of city hotels. The Passage, conveniently close to the main train station and with a very useful bus stop at the door, is surprisingly quiet with the rooms on the back. By some chance, I have been given room # 410, a suite on the top fourth floor. At the end of a short corridor with delicate light green carpeting, I entered a very roomy space, with a large studio corner on the right, a kitchen-like setup in front, and at the end of a passage, a night area opening on the quiet back. The bathroom was equiped with a bathtub and a shower, behind glass doors. Everything looked so clear and neat - pretty normal for a brand new hotel. A large flat TV screen in each of the two spaces (studio and bedroom), along with a Nespresso coffee machine and a real fancy Harman-Kardon loudspeaker for your smartphone, plus the free wifi! welcome to a new world of comfort at a hotel. The Mobility ticket allowing you to use freely bus and trams during the duration of your stay adds to the feeling of true welcome. And if you add to the whole the 15% discount given for the opening period, you have difficulties to believe that you are not dreaming - at a time where you so often get disappointed by the poor standards of quality of some hotels. The staff, in great part from neighboring France, is gentle and very helpful. Comparing with all this, the relatively high price asked for the breakfast just brings you back to the harsh realities of this world... but again the maids were charming and made of that moment a good start for the day. - Definitely a great discovery, and a place where I will certainly return whenever I have to go back to Basel.
