We stayed in Bern at this hotel as it was within walking distance of the banhauf and old town Bern. The hotel it's self was clean and friendly helpful staff but the room was less than expected but probably normal for Switzerland.Small and with warm tempuratures the window design would not let any air movement in to cool the room off,so had to ask front desk for a portable fan which they did come up with.Found out only 2nd floor rooms have AC in them go figure.Room also needed some repairs as scuff marks on walls.
The included continental breakfast was pleasantly laid out with a wide assortment of cereals and fruit and meats.
Would I stay there again, yes only if I needed to be that close to the train station.

After searching for a reasonably priced Bern hotel for a quick one-night trip, we settled on the hotel Ador. There were no double rooms available, so we reserved a triple for the 2 of us; this was still reasonably priced for Bern. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory. The hotel is easy walking distance from the train station and there are good restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: If you don't like the "coziness" of European hotel rooms, I recommend the triple room...

The location is central: a short walk to the railroad station, and university, and the main shopping street. The breakfast was high in quality and variety, but not indulgent. My room was immaculately clean and very sparse - just a bed, a desk chair, a storage area, and two shelves jutting from the wall, one a desk, one a nightstand. The room felt roomy - there was enough floorspace (nice wood floor) for yoga. Ample bathroom space. It was all very functional, but there were two serious deficiencies: a lack of light made it hard to read in bed (and there was nowhere else to read, except the bathroom) and the non-business rooms have expensive internet connections. Internet is free in the lobby, but the lobby is mostly a cocktail lounge. Nevertheless, I hung out there a lot.

Room Tip: Go high, facing the street, for maximum light. There's not much street noise.

I stayed at the hotel Ador for 4 nights on a business trip. Check in was fast, efficient and I was provided with all the required information in English. Breakfast had a small but tasteful selection with self serve coffee machines and fresh juice, feels a little like a canteen with the seating layout though. The rooms are small and a bit cramped but comfortable and clean, they have electric window blinds, I thought this was pretty cool. The hotels location is good with many shops , restaurants and bars nearby. If I could recommend any nearby restaurant it would be a Chinese one called Boky, so good I went twice. Requesting taxis from reception us easy but be prepared for a 10 - 15 minute wait. There is a nice little bar at reception and the night porter will serve you after hours. All in all not a bad budget hotel and you get a free rubber duck!

Good location, clean and well maintained rooms. The Sorell Ador stands out from many similarly priced Bern hotels. Breakfast was decent too.

The hotel is in a good location, but the rooms are rather Spartan. Not much room for luggage and no dancing please. The wall could use a coat of paint and the hallways some air freshener.
The breakfast however was excellent.

like all other hotel in bern the room price will vary a lot in accordance with the selected date. if u can get a good price for this it is a very good hotel: silence room, 5 min walk from main station and most of bern pubblic transport. 15 minutes by tram ur in fair area, 10 minutes walk u have the city center. as most hotel in bern parking car is available but with a very high cost per day. lots of cinema in teh area if u r alone. the room, according to bern standard, it is quite big. fantastic breckfast. wi fi @ high price
