Absolute quiet peaceful place. Take a piece of cloth to spread on lawns and something to eat(not too messy) and enjoy the view ,nature and quiet. The restaurant on garden is also very good. Bus no. 12 goes there from zentrum.

This is a must-visit in Bern. The roses were in full bloom in June - but the location also provided a great view of the picturesque old town seated by the winding river.
The weather was also wonderful and its a short and comfortable walk to the Bärengraben.

We visited this rose garden in May 2018 and enjoyed all the flower varieties in bloom. The garden is easily reached by public transport. The garden is located near a wonderful park with an overview of Bern and the Aare River. A nice place to visit.

Everyone who arrives in Bern will surely be told to pay a visit to the enclosure of the bears down on the river but if you continue on up the steep hill....not recommended for those lacking a mountaineering spirit....you’ll arrive at the Rose Garden. If you’re not a mountain goat you should take the free bus using the transport card your hotel gives you on check in. The best part about the rose garden is the view of the old city from the top of the hill. It’s breath taking. Seated up there (in bronze) is Albert Einstein. You can get up close and personal beside him on his bench and take a photo just to prove that you “met him”.
