It is difficult to find the words to adequately describe the beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains. As a resident of the industrial north of England this is like an entirely different planet. Spent a full day on the lake, stopping off at the little towns and then re boarding the boat and going onto Interlaken. It is genuinely awe inspiring and the fact that it was at times blazing sunshine on one side of the lake, raining in the middle and snowy on the mountain tops added to the charm. I wonder if the residents of the area realise just how blessed they are? The boat fare was 66 francs for the day, hop on and hop off, really worth the expense and the boats are spotless, relaxed and comfortable.
