“Breakfast for Astoria and Ibis Style”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

If you stay overnight in Ibis Style Gare Geneva you will have your breakfast in Britannia Pub.

The breakfast is basically quite standard. There are pros and cons.

Pros:
Fresh orange juice, nice yoghurts, cremeo cheese, some fruits

Cons:
Bread seems to be from Carrefour and is not fresh
Bacon is never well enough cooked.
You feel a bit hangover when you eat breakfast there as it is actually a british pub (however, if you like you can even drink beer around 0800am)

“Slightly disappointing”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

Possibly my impressions were influenced by the result of the game - it is hard to be in good mood when you see Man City beating Man U 3:0 at Old Trafford... ;)
Firstly, when you enter a place called Britannia Pub, you expect to see the beer coming from a classic pump not some sort of modern "press-the-button-here-you-go" machine.
Secondly, you would like to see a selection of ales and bitters, not just a lonely, miserable Boddington.
Thirdly, for almost $24 you would expect not only a great burger but also proper chips.
Still, I would have enjoyed, if not the game... ;)

“Great for people watching”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

Went to this pub on a Friday night. It was really good fun sat there people watching. A real mix of people in. One group in the corner who were drunk playing darts and dancing (badly) to the English music, another younger group meeting up with friends and some obvious regulars.

I thought it was great for people watching. Good selection of beers you can get in an English bar, like Boddingtons and various largers. Not cheap but not overly expensive for Geneva.

Did not eat but they do food.

Will return.

“Britannian, not British”
Reviewed 22 May 2013

It's very much the type of place you get close to a train station - adequate food, expensive drinks, not a great deal of atmosphere.

Having said that, if you don't expect too much, you'll enjoy it.

My .5l coke cost 6 francs which is very pricey since you can get a .5l beer for 9 francs. But that seems to be Europe all over. Drinking nonalcoholics is expensive.

The food came out fast which was nice, and it was hot which always makes even substandard food taste good enough. Plus it was a good price for Switzerland. 8 francs for a medium sized burger.

“Just OK”
Reviewed 2 May 2013

This pub is close to station and it is good to kill time while raiting for trains. I faild find other attractions. Service, food selection and beer are quite average.
