This museum was a pleasure to visit. The collection is housed in a beautifully decorated old house. There is a feeling of calm and serenity. The staff are so helpful, but everything is very well curated and it is easy to find out around the exhibits. I almost had the museum to myself when I went to look at these amazing items. Make sure to look at the booklets found on each floor of the house giving details about each display case. I learnt a huge amount from these, and they really enhanced the visit. Important to note it is only open afternoons, 14:00 to 18:00.
Well worth a visit.

If you are visiting Geneve please take time to see this awesome little museum in an incredible building. Every piece is from ancient China, Japan or other extreme orient countries. The collection and pieces are very well organised, the pieces are in remarkable condition and the display is beautiful. Ceramics, Jade, antique wooden boxes, some lovely furniture and most of all a great 3 story house with unbelievable architecture in a very interesting neighbourhood. The St Pierre a Cathedral, Eglise Russe and the Museus of Art and Natural History are near by at walking distance. It's an opportunity Aldo to see the famous Jet d'Eau at a distance in lake Geneva. The most beautiful rich buildings are in this area and some amazing decoration shops.

The collection, hosted in an ancient, elegant building of the old town, is just amazing: vases, objects, prints, swords and weapons from China and Japan, very well exposed and documented. Two temporary expositions per year, usually very interesting and complete. Opens only in the afternoon!

The collection of this museum main focus on China and Japan. If you have visited the National Palace Museum in Taiwan, you won't be impressed with this museum.
