We stopped in Geneva for two nights on our honeymoon because my husband is a watch fanatic and we were touring of the manufacturers outside the city. Upon check in, the concierge asked us what brought us to Geneva. We said honeymoon and he upgraded us to the most amazing room with the most amazing view of the lake and the Jet. I asked him which elevators to go to and he offered to show us up to our room. The room was one of the cleanest I have ever seen, had an amazing balcony and had a great sound system and free wifi. The service was amazing! The food was great for breakfast. It does come with a steep price, but had everything I could possibly imagine. We chose the breakfast option when we booked the room. I will make a disclaimer- we used a ton of cc points to boom this room. Well Worth the cc points, but it would have made a major hit on the wallet if we didn't use points. Great location. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

Coming to Geneva, of course one expects a great hotel and Swiss punctuality. Both expectations were met! This hotel is a most excellent one located very conveniently close to the lake. It is very clean and the rooms are nice! From my room, I could observe the famous fountain in the middle of the lake. Breakfast is very plentiful with a lot of healthy food available. The fitness center is a very good one with long opening hours. However, the number of some equipment like treadmills are pretty small. You need to go there early in the morning! Let me also mention that this hotel is a pretty expensive one, but I will stay there next time I am in Geneva.

this hotel has an unbeatable view at the lake of Geneva, with view of the Alps. if you like that sort of thing, this can be a very nice place to stay. the hotel has much luxury to offer, but at a cost which is not in the right proportion. many hotels in e.g. the US offer at least the same level of luxury at much lower cost. a standard room can easily cost between 300-400 euro per night. of course, for that price you get a decent room with a luxureous bathroom, but then there are details such as a very noisy airco. also, on my first night, there was an incessant banging on the floor above me. i wasnt expecting this in a very expensive hotel. the most negative aspect of the hotel are the restaurants. tyhe breakfast room is far too small for such a large hotel, leading to waiting queues, and it is also very noisy and chaotic. i also had dinner in one of the restaurants; the service was very nervous, several things we ordered (in a group of about 20) never came, or came too late. some things came too early (starter ofter cocktails). all in all it's a great luxureous hotel, but some things can be improved a lot, especially for the prices they charge. a 1-day internet+film package cost 60 Sw Francs, to give just one example...

Room Tip: depending on which view you want, you should ask for lakeview, moutainview...

I've regularly stayed in top end hotels but really felt compelled to write about the excellent service we had at the Grand Hotel Kempinski. Firstly the location of the hotel is brilliant. You can get a free ticket from the luggage hall of Geneva Airport to the Centre with the hotel being a 5-10 minute walk away. The hotel is located in front of the Lake with a great view of Jet deau. It is also across the road from where you can get Mouettes to cross the Lake free of charge with the Transportation card the hotel will give you.
Check in was painless thanks to the fantastic Nicole. She really was excellent - friendly, knowledgable about local area etc. A real plus that management should take on board. We had a room on the 8th floor with a balcony looking onto the lake. The room was fairly large and pleasant. Service was excellent - we asked for an ice bucket for a bottle of champagne which arrived in minutes of asking. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included in our rate but is expensive as is everything in Geneva. We did not eat in the hotel restaurants but did try a traditional Swiss restaurant Auberge de Saviese which is minutes from the hotel. This was a good place to try fondues and reasonably priced.
We did not try the Spa but did use the hotel swimming pool which was very nice. This really is a luxurious hotel and one I would highly recommend. We will return.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Luxurious in many ways but the location is perfect for a business trip or vacation in Geneva. Good selections of restaurants and casual dinning. Spa facilities - I didn't try as hadn't time but hopefully next time. Rooms are a good size even the singles but was spoiled a bit by poor air con. NO one could fix this in the 3 days I was there.

Room Tip: Ask for 7th floor - and if you can get a Lake view

If you are going to stay here at the Kempinski, just know that there is no shortage of luxury. The rooms are have modern clean lines and the rooms are noticeably quiet. You would never know there is a full service restaurant, spa, and lounge in the hotel. Spacious bathrooms with beautiful marble throughout. The reception is warm and inviting with a ultra modern fireplace and a neutral color scheme throughout. The highlight of the hotel is the gym. State of the art with every machine and free weight you can imagine. There are yoga and other classes held daily if that is what you are looking for. A personal trainer can also be arranged. I made use of the steam room which I will defiantly reccommend . If you need to buy any Swiss watches or jewelry you do not need to leave the hotel. Everything is on the reception level. The hotel has wonderful service and everyone from the the reception staff to the cleaners are always friendly.

Room Tip: The rooms that face Lake Geneva are the best! Ask if the room you are staying in has a renovated bat...

Oh where to start and where to end!! I stayed in a fountain view suite once you open the door you are greeted with a beautiful sitting area with a large TV as well as your sweets, then you enter to your room and enjoy that great bed with an other large screen tv, you walk a bit and open your curtain and you face the fountain of lake geneva NO WORDS TO EXPLAIN HOW GREAT IT WAS, Then comes that beautiful bathroom with that great design!! Then comes the great lobby and the luxury shops in there.

Room Tip: Lake view room
