“Clean hotel in good location”
Reviewed 27 April 2011

This hotel is a good value on the relative ridiculously expensive Geneva scale. We were three people in a small room. Other than that, the hotel was clean, had a lovely lobby , bar area and restaurant, and offered free Internet in the rooms.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Tiffany. A little off the beaten path if you have business around the airport, but not too difficult to get to. Take the train from the airport to the Geneva Center. Then take tram 13 or 15 towards Pallettes and get off at the Cirque stop. Short walk across a couple of busy streets.

The hotel restaurant was excellent, both food and service. Well done.

I was a little concerned with the practice of leaving the room key at the front desk. This seems to be a lapse in security and no ID is required to retrieve the key after returning from the days activities. What is to prevent your room key from being given to anyone that asks for that room ? No, all the front desk staff did not know me.

Have travelled to Geneva very many times over the last 10 years, stayed here for the first time as the hotel was offering a reasonable rate for the number of us travelling together. It's a pretty typical (and somewhat quaint) Geneva hotel (small rooms, good (understated) service) in a reasonable central location.

There are definitely better, higher end options in the City, but you have to pay top dollar in Geneva for these high-end hotels - if you are looking for a clean, quiet hotel for a couple of nights this is fine. Buffet breakfast (CHF28 I think) is nice, check in and out efficient and the excellent local tram service leaves from near the hotel, giving easy access to the rest of Geneva and other transport links. Hotel has a good (free) WiFi service, decent array of TV channels but no other facilities (gym etc). Beds are comfortable and linen quality good.

Wonderful system of compensating you for the daily Swiss Hotel Tax is receiving a travel pass for all the buses, trams, train to airport. 4 stars let down by lack of tea/coffee making facilities in room.Hotel well located when you have this free travel facility. Food very pricy as in all of Switzerland. Went out one night for meal of pizza and lasagne and one bottle of wine - £63!!

The tiffany windows in the lobby and restaurant are very pretty. Our room was on the 4th floor, a very tiny elevator takes you there. The room was small, usual for Europe. The bed was comfortable, there was a full size tub, fluffy robes & nice amenities. Free wifi. Very close to the tram & they give you a free pass good for your entire stay. Staff was helpful when the strike canceled our train to France and we had to rent a car. I recommend asking for a quiet room, people in the street were talking until 3am. We wanted to keep the window open but it was too noisy. Good location.

Stayed at the Tiffany for 3 nights. Easy to find as many tram stops nearby.
Hotel has a classic feel about it in dark wood and of course coloured glass "Tiffany" lamps everywhere. Bedrooms clean and comortable and sound proof so a good nights sleep obtained. The bedroom, although an odd shape 28ft x 9ft, had 2 french balconies overlooking a quiet street which added to its charm.
Breakfast is of a good standard and taken in the hotel restaurant which is also open to the public. High quality breakfast of smoked salmon, cheese, yoghurts, sausage, bacon, eggs etc. Also the best bread choices I have seen. Altogether a healthy start to the day and the waiters smartly dressed and uber efficient of course. The restaurant has a great "French Bistro" atmosphere and has very attractive traditional decor and Tiffany lamps and shades!
Location was perfect a short walk from the lake one way and the old town the other way.
Would choose to stay again. You also get a travel pass for the trains, trams, buses and small boats included for the duration of your stay, this will be given to you at the hotel at check in. Used this all the time and saves you a fair bit plus you get to see more of the city and can also use it to get you back to the airport on your last day.
Would definately stay here again. Yes it is quite expensive to stay but then it is Switzerland and Geneva is currently ranked 5th most expensive city in the world.
