We stayed at the Warwick at the end of May 06. The hotel is situated in an excellent location right across from the railway station and tram stop. The journey from the airport was very easy indeed. The cost was about 3f for a single and tickets can be purchased from the machines which are so simple to use and you do not have to queue. The trains were quiet, clean and very frequent taking only about 10 minutes to get to Cornavin main station. The Hotel was comfortable, clean and the staff very helpful. The buffet breakfast served a combination of cold and hot dishes with plenty of choice. The restaurant served good food for the evening meal but with limited choice. The hotel has an area where you can sit and enjoy an alchoholic beverage or a cup of coffee.
When you check in you can ask for a travel card which will allow you free travel for 24 hours on the transport system. The trams are great, very easy to get around, but Geneva is a place for walking. The shops and the lake are all in walking distance of the hotel. A place for eating is the Manor department store, go to the top floor and you will find the most magnificent buffet and very realistically priced. The food is fresh and cooked by chefs in front of you, the choice is wonderful- pasta, pizzaz, fish, salads, meats, soup, lots of fresh fruit , crepes, cakes and much more..........
Take a boat trip on Lake Geneva it can be breezy but it's worth it. Also there are some lovely walks along side the lake which leads into parks.Geneva is a lovely place for a short break and the Warwick Hotel is well worth booking, I would go back again!

On leg 3 of our journey we stopped at the Warwick... This hotel is very convinently located directly across from the GARE or train and bus hub. it is easy to get to from the 10 and 9 bus from the airport. cabs will run you 30CHF...

Upon arrival our room was not ready but that was fine, the offered to take our bags and gave us a free day metro pass to use for town for the day they offer this to everyone. Not that its needed as geneva is quite small and makes walking a breeze.

The room itself was nice it was on the 3rd floor near the back we had little view but we did not care with the bed being so comfortable. There are great view rooms available for a higher cost. we paid 147 usd. As mentioned the beds were the most comfortable we have seen since monaco. the closet was large, wireless internet was accessable but not from their network. the bathroom was large and very clean.

All in all a great stay for the price, if you are in geneva you must try Cafe de Paris its 3 blocks down just ask at the front desk they serve steak fries and salad thats it 38chf per person but worth every penny. The mini marts in the GARE are open till 11. go out of the hotel and rightdown 2 blocks and you will see a bit more of a seedy area go right at the next street and you will see the swiss red light district... just remember to stay left.. this should not diminish your stay it was never noticed or bothersome just an FYI. The lake and views are just 5 min walk, if that and there is a mcdonalds close by for that late night craving.

The staff was always helpfull and we will definalty return. there are nicer places to stay but for the location and price its tough to beat. make sure to go by christies and sotherbys and check out there auctions... they are on oppisite sides of town. also another great tip save some cash and check out the old town up on the hill above the main drag: great architecture, small restaurants, shopps, and communities. especially my cousins chicken. just chicken served 3 ways from 13.90CHF thats dirt cheap! also see the gelato shop just 3 stores up the hill, it was the best we had on our trip and it was raining...

Remember with Geneva bring your umbrella as it will rain every day due to the geography, also keep in mind they have just about every boutique known to man... shopping is as good as paris but in a space the size of central park.

Small but adequate bedrooms. No pool or exercise facility although there is a gym nearby. Very central and only 100 meters from railway station with direct link to airport. Good breakfasr and helpful staff. Conference rate ok but standard rate should be checked on booking. Rooms fine for single occupation but probably a bit cramped for 2 esp. small bathroom. Over street rooms somewhat noisy. No hot water one morning.

We stayed at the Warwick over Easter weekend. Booked through Expedia along with airfare. I was pleasantly surprised by the room (I booked through Expedia, and have historically found that Expedia-booked rooms are often of lesser quality). The room was large and clean, with modern furnishings. Location is very convenient to the train station (across the street!) but about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town.

The front desk offers free city travel passes (for trams and buses) so take them up on it and get around the city quicker!

Despite the location near the train station, hotel was very quiet. Must have soundproof windows! Would stay here again.

Stayed at Le Warwick Hotel in Geneva for three nights in November 2005.The location is excellent as the hotel is almost opposite the Cornavin railway station in the city centre.Having travelled by train from the airport(10 minute journey) the hotel could not have been more handy. The hotel is classed as four stars and has the expected level of service.Excellent check-in facilities by courteous and helpful staff.Room was of a good size and very comfortable.Despite the hotel being located on a main road the traffic noise was minimal.Good buffet style breakfast available until 10.30am throughout the week. The hotel is within a few minutes walking time of the lake front and most of the city attractions are easily reached on foot. The hotel provides guests with travel passes allowing free travel on all public transport within central Geneva.Did not use the hotel restaurant other than for breakfast so cannot comment on the standard of the meals.Would happily use this hotel again.

Hotel Warwick is in a great position just opposite the railway station - so no need for a taxi. Comfortable room with most amenities, a short walk to the harbour and shops. Hotel is just a average hotel but rooms are large and comfortable. The restaurant and bar area are good. The position is terrific expecially if your arriving by train, its just across the road from the station.

Overall a good quality average hotel.

The Amercian bar around the corner from hotel is a nice place to have a few beers in.
