This hotel has a great location right in the center of everything across from the train station. The lobby is clean, extremely small and not very well lit. I had a double room on the 4th floor and stayed for 5 nights. The room and bathroom was clean, however the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. My room was facing a bar/nightclub which got very noisy at night. The walls of my room were paper thin and I could hear everything going on in the room next to mine. There is a flat screen TV and free wi fi. I had my niece with me and was able to get a child's bed put in the from for free. There is free continental breakfast every morning from 6:30am to 10:00am. My second night there, the one elevator available broke down which made it difficult carrying bags up and down 5 flights of stairs. The staff, which was very kind, made the service elevator available to us, however it this elevator was extremely small, an average size suitcase could not fit in it. Overall it is a simple basic affordable hotel.

The hotel advertise that you pay only CHFR 119.00 but they do not bother telling you that this rate only applies on the weekend! On week days they bump the price up CHFR40.00 which ends up costing you $CAD 198.00 with exchange! The room is clean, that is true, but so small no fridge, no bar, a small closet and noisy as all get out!! That is Swiss quality I am sorry but to me this is a huge let down! Paying $200.00 for a night in a hotel when the noise of the construction and traffic wakes you up at 5AM that is ridiculous!
At the front desk they only advise you the day after you had already spent the night that the rate increases! That is another disappointment from a correctness perspective.

Room Tip: Do not stay here! The hotel is noisy you can't sleep it is located on amain artery, there are co...

If travelling by rail this is a perfect hotel as it is right across the road from the station. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. One small negative is that there was a nightclub or bar next door and it was a little noisy. The only serve breakfast but some good restaurants were within walking distance. Perfect fora three star hotel.

I have stayed in this magnificent, historic three star Hotel several times over the last four decades, and discovered that it gets better all the time, maturing like good wine. It started operating before the first World War, in the early years of the 20th century. Its central location opposite Geneva Railway Station and near many bus stops is ideal. It takes only 15-20 minutes, door to door from the hotel to Geneva Airport. It is located within easy walking distance (5-10 minutes) from the Lake of Geneva, the commercial center and the old city. It retains an air of old times and it is very modern in all respects. Rooms are very clean, quiet, large enough, with good TV reception of many dozens free, satellite and cable stations. Housekeeping is very good. Linen and towels are very clean .The quaint looking breakfast room is decorated in a way reminiscent of the way the dining must have looked in the early 1900s. Buffet breakfast is diverse and ample. The lobby, where one can help oneself to and have many different types of tea or coffee, have a meeting with friends, or watch TV is cosy. Reception staff are pleasant, efficient, well trained and helpful. The hotel is good value for money, especially if one books a room well in advance. Everything functions like a good Swiss clock in this medium size hotel, which fully justifies the good reputation of Swiss people as being the best hoteliers in the world. I definitely recommend this discreet but excellent three star hotel to travelers who want to stay in Geneva on holidays or for business.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet, but rooms overlooking the back street are the quietest.

Stayed - luckily - only one night. The hotel is a total rip off; Service is poor and unfriendly. Rooms are broken, outdated and not maintained at all. Mattress must be 20 years old and you wake up with back-ache. LIghting in the room works only partially. This is a disgrace for Geneva and Switzerland. Only one good point: it is 1min from trainstation.

Room Tip: Just to skip this address is the best advise if you do not want to be disappointed.

I have stayed at this hotel only one night just for the having it near to train station. Room was too small. Very unconfortable bed and pillows:( i have asked for the pressing service which was not available. I have asked for the iron and ironing board which was also not available as well. Afterwards since the sockets in swiss are different than other countries i have asked for the travel adaptor which was not available but thanks to God they found it at the end after checking all adaptors which left by the guests in the rooms.

Breakfast service is too low.

Well stayed there one night since I had to catch a flight the day after and it was not that great. The room was very small, the bed in my room was like only 0.5 meter from the door so I heard all things from the hallway. Just way too simple to be called a HOTEL, even simpler than the hostel I would say. The breakfast was not good either, poor selections. Really not worth this much money and I wouldn't stay there again myself or suggest it to my colleagues and friends.
