“Value for Business Travelers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2013

Just a few words, since there are so many reviews of so many hotels in Geneva -- there are so many hotel choices, it all depends on what you want. I've stayed at the De La Paix, Intercontinental and Bristol, and I liked the Bristol best -- it's not in the most picturesque part of town, but it is a block from the trolley and bus line that leads to the airport (10 mins) and Cornavin Station (five minutes), a few blocks from the lakefront -- stone's throw to the Wilson, in fact -- and a few blocks from UNHCR and other UN offices. And it's great for the money -- reliable wireless, very good breakfast included, and helpful staff. If money's no object, obviously there are other places you'd stay, but if you're in Geneva for a few days for a conference or business, the Bristol is a good place to end up.

I spend two night at Bristol Hotel and found it a good accommodation in Geneva.
Not really in the center, but however walking distance from it (20 minute walk).
Breakfast was very good and very pleasant with live music in the background.
Had the chance to try the restaurant room service of the hotel and was satisfied.

We were very pleased with the location, modern, spacious and clean rooms. Reasonably good value for Geneva!
Our only issue was with noisy housekeeping activity starting early mornings! Windows were very well sound proofed.

Most hotels in Geneva offer excellent service but even so the Bristol stands out.

I have always favored the Warwick Hotel due to its great location but after not being able to get rooms there on my last trip it may be time to rethink.
Our handler recommended The Bristol and even though I was a bit skeptical at first, this quickly changed once I arrived at the hotel.

Location wise, the Bristol sits across from the Four Seasons Hotel and convenient to both the station and the old town.

While a bit smaller than the Warwick, the rooms are more elegant and the views a lot nicer - the rear part of the hotel has the view of the courtyard while the front faces the Rue du Mont Blanc. Additionally given that there is maid service twice a day, they are much cleaner and better appointed.
The breakfast room and the bar areas are also nicer both are more elegant and cozy at the same time.
The spa offers a sauna, steam room, a whirlpool and a work out room, all items that are lacking at the Warwick.

No doubt I have found a new favorite abode when in Geneva.

Just returned from staying at Bristol Hotel Geneva so pleased we got a complimentary upgrade due to the fact it was one of my friends special birthday Room was exellent spacious fab bathroom with robes slippers and toiletries Turn down service at night with your own personal tea towel beside the bed so you dont have you bare feet on the floor and swiss chocolate left too Champagne breakfast was a great start to the day and the service was very attentive with out being in your face Staff are very helpful when asking about whats on and how to get to places The location is very good couple minutes walk from train/bus station and right beside the lake and jet d' Eau try the little cafe on the lake selling hot mulled wine and ginger beer while watching the brave souls swimming in the very cold lake I would return to this hotel anytime I've been to many foreign cities but Geneva is the most expensive take your creidt card

The Bristol is not in the top rank of Geneva hotels, where the best are some of the best (and the priciest) in the world, but it's perfectly OK. I was there on business. It's not a particularly large hotel a bit set back from the lake. The lobby was quiet when I checked in. Room rather small with no view at all, but very clean and well fitted out. Having lived and travelled a lot in East Asia, I was pleased to note that there was a Japanese style bidet WC in the bathroom - not a very high tech one admittedly, but a nice touch and not something you see that often in Europe. Wifi included in the room price which is good. I ordered a simple room service meal which was very nice but extremely expensive for what is was. But that's Geneva for you I suppose.

The hotel is centrally located; journey from the airport to the city centre took only ten minutes, and then another ten minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. The old town is just a bridge away from the hotel, and offers a great walk.

Just five minutes away is the famous Jet and lake, with views "to-die for". Only issue was that we got a room with a courtyard view, but service was very good. The amenities were also thoughtful, with even an umbrella in the room for those of us who travel without one.

Overall, value for money, and definitely a place I would stay again in Geneva.
