“average church - free attraction”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014

The church is very nice and since it's free, you should certainly visit. However, among the churches in Europe, it's about average. What I liked about it most is that it was better lit than many churches and it wasn't very crowed. That's always nice for photos.

“Climb the towers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

I found the city view from the top of the tower the most impressive here. The church is nice, but don't skip the climb to the top. 5 CHF, or 4.5 Euro.

“In the heart of the old town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

The cathédrale de St-Pierre is definitely worth a visit as it will also give you the possibility to wander amongst the narrow cobbled streets of Geneva's old town. The inside is large and has wonderful acoustics when concerts are performed there. There is also a museum that you can visit where you can see underneath the Cathedral and learn about it's history and the different renovations that took place over the centuries.

Just nearby is the Auditoire Calvin, where Calvin would preach. It is now home to the Scottish Church (amongst others) in Geneva, and is also worth a visit. Visits to the Auditoire Calvin are free (when it is open).

“Wonderful view from tower - an absolute must ”

The cathedral itself is quite impressive, and well worth a visit.
However as a view lover the vista from the cathedral tower was the crown jewel of my tour of the old town area.

“If your sightseeing go see it!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

Situated in magnificent old town Geneva (my favourite part) the cathedral is pretty splendid, both in size and detail. Make the arduous walk up to the bell tower on a clear day and take in the expansive views across the lake whilst catching up on the cathedrals history. Definitely an hour or two well spent. Afterwards head to La Clemence around the corner and quench your thirst with tourists and locals alike.
