“Nice terrace, but what are these tarts ?!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

We went to the swimming pool and enjoyed a sandwich and strawberry tartlet for lunch afterwards. We could seat on the terrace in the shadow. We enjoyed the sandwich with special bread. I got however very disappointed with the strawberry tartlet. The strawberries were there so did the dough... But where was the cream ?!! How can you sell for such a price just strawberry and dough? This is not the work of a pastry! Do not buy this one :)

“Nice location, sad croissants”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

The location improved a lot in comparison to the old place across the street.
However, they do not excel in bakery stuff. Croissants are terrible, even with France so close. Espresso is just so-so.

“Best Pain au Chocolat ,Croissant, Croix Vannille et Chocolat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2013

It is simply the best pain au chocolat and Croissant I have tasted. Better than the ones to places I've been, e.g. all over Switzerland, Paris, south of France, Haute Savoie, Normandy/Bretagne to name a few.
The baguette is also good but not as good as the above ones.
This boulangerie is very popular, so it speaks of how good it is. Service could get a bit chaotic because specially on Sundays but they introduced a new payment system where your order is stored in a "token" and this has your orders and when you leave, bring this token to the counter and pay. Works well for me as I said because it could get too crowded.

I also go for a take-away frozen cakes and pies.

“I don't understand the hype”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2013

I went to Eric Emery after having read some reviews online and having one real person say it was good. Coming from Brussels we had a very good bakery near to us and so I was hoping to find something as good. This was not it. I ordered a baguette and a multi-cereal loaf and both were no better than mediocre. No real consistency or distinct flavor. They might as well have been from Migros. Seriously. Maybe the pastries are amazing, I don't know. The bread was not.

“Best Croissants in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 November 2012 via mobile

Famous for the awards winning breads and cakes, Emery gives a special taste and feel to bakery. The Sunday brunch is a good time to try it. Just don't wait until its too late in the day, or else you'll see a long queue ahead. Croissants are just fabulous.
