“A calm, peaceful hotel...”
Reviewed 24 September 2011

Jade Hotel is a small, calm and peaceful hotel close to the main railway station, and the restaurants and street life of the Pacquis area. It proved a great place to stay whilst at a conference - offering a quiet place to work, a very comfortable bed and a good breakfast. The garden is delightful - and my only criticism is that there is no bar and no coffee or tea service in the garden, which means that it isn't really used properly. If you are looking for somewhere comfortable and quiet to stay, Jade Hotel is an excellent choice. Room service is delivered from the sister hotel across the road, and is good too.

Having done a bit of research (on Tripadvisor and elsewhere) before travelling, I am really happy to have chosen this hotel. Situated within easy walking distance of the lake, the main station and principal shopping area, it is an excellent small hotel that deserves more than its 3 star rating. If you don't want to eat breakfast in the hotel there are several cafes nearby (So Mel on the Rue de Lausanne is especially good), but the hotel breakfast is good too and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Having free access to a computer in the lobby is very useful and the garden area to the rear is a great place to sit and rest after a hard day's sightseeing. For those travelling with children there's a good playpark at Parc Chateaubriand - bring your table tennis equipment!

A lovely small hotel in the centre of Geneva. Close to the main station, so easy to get to and from the airport. Within walking distance to the Hotel. Within walking distance to the main tourist attractions and near a Tram stop and bus stop to get to the other attractions.

The hotel is classed as a 3* but very good quality. Rooms are a good size, the bathroom is gorgeous, the breakfast is good as we were able to get it for half price. Good selection of breakfast choices.

We had booked a room through Booking.com which we thought was for a good price, but a few days before we were to travel we checked the Hotel website and they had a better deal. The hotel were good in being able to sort out us the cheaper deal.

A tip- we went over the easter weekend. A lot of places are shut over the Easter period so some of the restaurants, shops etc are not open. But there were still enough places that were open.

Very nice hotel. Spacious rooms (we had the suite, an upgrade) and good beds and shower. Your own Nespresso machine in the room. Is nice.

Well located (just a couple of streets from the Lake), good and friendly service, nice large rooms, ... A lot of comfort for a 3 stars. To be preferred to the traditional brands of same category, definitively.

We arrived at the hotel late and wanted to stay just one night. We stayed in an executive room, which was a surprise. Modern design, good furniture, a brand new TV. Very impressive for a three-star hotel. However you can't get everything at the same time.
They are currently renewing the hotel (August 2011) and we woke up at 9 a.m. to the awful noise. The workers started working with hammers and drills in the room right above us and it felt like they were drilling through our heads. I called the receptionist, asking for it to stop, twice during half an hour and only in about an hour it had stopped. But we were long awake by then, since those sounds could drive anyone crazy.
At the check-in we were told that breakfast was open until 11 a.m. on Fridays. The next morning it turned out that it closed at 10:30 and we couldn't have our breakfast.
The hotel is nice, but the staff could be far more attentive to their guests. Not everybody wakes up at 8 o'clock, plus we were on holiday and could allow ourselves to sleep some more, but they wouldn't let us.
The Internet wasn't very fast, but it worked and it was free of charge.

Room Tip: Executive rooms are high standard and not expensive.

We stayed @ Jade hotel (i think paret of Minotel). Not far from main train station in Geneva. lots of restaurants around. short walk to lake Geneva. Hotel has all modern facilities. not very pricey. They do ask you (kinda force you) to dine in one of their restaurants & they give you coupons but we ate other than theirs & were happy with our choice. over all its all good.
