Stayed here for three nights in September, and was slightly nervous given that it was quite a bit cheaper than other comparable hotels in Geneva... but am glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised.

Many past reviewers have mentioned the location, so let me address that immediately; it's fine! Very easy to get to the train station; 10 minutes walk, or even shorter if you take the tram (which is free for anyone staying in a hotel in Geneva). Also close to the United Nations, close to the lake, and a pleasant walk into the historic city center. At night, there are some "dodgy" looking places between the hotel and the lake/ city center, with groups of people around... but I never felt unsafe, and you can also avoid these areas by going straight from the tram to the hotel.

Other than that, no complaints at all. The room was very spacious, with a nice seating area and lovely view of the lush foliage in the courtyard at the rear... the outlook to the front is much less inspiring, so try to request a room facing the courtyard. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Very nice amenities including bathrobes, slippers, decent toiletries, and a Nespresso machine.

The front desk staff are very pleasant and helpful, and all encounters we had were positive.

There is a small breakfast area, which we didn't have a chance to visit. No restaurant, but their sister hotels in the Manotel group have some nice places to eat... I'd recommend the Swiss themed one in Hotel Edelweiss.

Overall, I'd say this hotel offers excellent value for money. Nothing flashy, but good accommodation and service, in a convenient location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the courtyard.

Stayed here two non-consecutive nights within a week in two different types of rooms (standard vs. Jr. suite) and enjoyed both occasions...although I must admit the Jr. Suite patio rocked! The hotel itself is very small (and vertical)...so its not about a spacious lobby and amenities in public areas at all. I really chose it for the proximity to the lake and the price...which ended up being perfect. But the rooms were very nice too...contemporary, clean and nicely appointed. The walk to the lake is just a couple of blocks. And I walked around the lake to Old Geneva within a 1/2 hour. The train station is a 10 minute walk away if you need to get further faster. While the standard room was nice, the Jr. Suite was fantastic! It included a small kitchenette with plenty of space in the room for entertaining guests...but why stay inside when the rooftop patio easily seats 4-8 people! We stayed out there most of the night. Would definitely go back and stay here again. The staff was SO helpful too.

Room Tip: If you choose a rooftop suite, you can only access the 6th floor after taking 1 flight of stairs whe...

Upon arrival we found the receptions staff very cold - no warm welcome. I thought Switzerland was the centre of hotel management, and if you cannot get the initial greeting right, then the rest of the stay does not improve. We were chased up the street on our second last day by reception staff to suggest that we were booking out that day - when in fact we had another day stay. Not what you want to hear during your stay. A little more attention to detail on your guests is advised. Lighting in the room was inadequate for reading. The bath is very high and to step over to have a shower may prove difficult for seniors. There are no grab rails for support and the shower screen was not wide enough to stop the floor from flooding after showering.

Good location but nothing special. Service is ok, slow but solid. If you are looking for a good value and location, this is fine. Just know what you are getting which is only the basics. Ask for a room that faces the courtyard if you want a quiet room. Or ask for a suite on the top floor, when the hotel is not busy you might get lucky!

Room Tip: Ask for a suite on the top floor!

This hotel is in a perfect location less than 10 minutes to Geneva lake , less than 5 minutes to tram station , many restaurants , cafes, shops , supermarkets are on the corner all in a safe neighborhood .
As for the rooms they are decent sized especially if compared to other sardine box hotel rooms in Geneva , the rooms have a safe , TV with all different international channels , bath robes, slippers , decent sized fridge , the towels and linens are in perfect condition , Nespresso machine in each room yes in each room while the 5 star kempinski hotel down the road charges triple the price and does not even have a kettle to make tea in the room , and the back garden with Asian style is so relaxing and a great feature that the jade hotel has to offer.
The hotel gives you a Geneva map on request and transportation pass that you can use through out your visit to Geneva free of charge .
The best feature about this hotel is the staff they understand what it means to be in the hospitality business , as a guest you are greeted with a warm welcome and smile and all staff are willing to go out of their way to please the guests , special thanks to hotel manager Mr.Kemal and front desk employees Marina and Jameela and all the cleaning ladies in the housekeeping department , you are all heroes in your professions , the check in process was so quick and efficient , the housekeeping is great , I really loved your hotel and you are the best .

Room Tip: The rooms either look over the Asian garden on the back of the hotel or on the street which is not n...

We were staying in Geneva one night before flying back to England the next day. Hotel Jade was in an ideal location for this as it was an easy walk from the train station. The pavements were wide and it was easy to trundle our suitcases along. The hotel is down a side street off a main road. There was still traffic noise though. It has an oriental theme throughout and was smart and stylish. The girl on reception was helpful and showed us where we could use a free computer to check in with BA and print our boarding passes. We checked into the hotel at 1pm instead of 3pm as it said so there was only one room available. It was on the street side. It was a good sized room with a smart en-suite. The smoked glass door did not give you much privacy if you needed the loo! The room was clean and had a coffee maker mugs, tea bags etc. There is no view and no balcony. We were given a free travel pass to explore Geneva for the duration of our stay. We walked down to Lake Leman, which is about ten minutes away. It was extremely windy so the Jet d’eau was switched off. We found the Jardin Anglais. In the evening we caught the 15 tram down to Plainpalais and explored the old city .We liked Geneva. The train station is only seven minutes back to the airport so our return journey was easy. We opted to pay the 16francs for breakfast each as it saves hassle. It was an excellent spread. We then discovered a pretty secluded rear garden. I think if you have a room overlooking that you get a balcony and it would be much quieter. All in all we were very happy with Hotel Jade and would certainly stay there again if we return to Geneva.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden at the rear of the hotel.
