My wife invited me on my birthday present celebration for a dinner in the recently opened Japanese restaurant Izumi, located on 7th floor inside Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva. First of all, the restaurant is having 2 different rooms where you can have a table, with very few tables available in each of them. One is located just above the SPA reception area (no lake view) and the other one is located inside... bibliotheque ! The service and the food were excellent, many new tastes for your mouth and unexpected food presented, as the type of cooking is called fusion japanese food, very unsual, you will see by yourself.
The only disturbing point was the general high temperature we had to support, as there was no wind, no ventilator to mix the air and to cool down the place, especially when you are eating also some spicy food and drinking champagne, you are feeling hot... So we were somehow suffering from the heat. We went on the 21:15 service which was the 2nd one, the first one being at 19:15 (if so, take sunglasses, because sunset may disturb you if your table is close to the large window...).
I will soon post some photos of the place and of the food, for you to have an idea of what it looks like. Expect high prices !
