Very unusual interior, with lots of character, friendly staff and a good location.

The room I had on the top floor was huge, with a vast canopied balcony. Very large comfortable bed, good TV, reasonable connection to free wifi. Shower was fine with good pressure and temperature.

I would stay again. The place has a very 'traditional' feel. For me, business style hotels are typically bland and without character. This offered something that makes for a genuinely different experience and is so much more memorable. The staff really make a huge effort to make sure you have what you need.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor with balcony.

Just returned from a four day business trip where I stayed at the Hotel Adriatica in Geneva.
This hotel is located in the Champel Area near to the University hospital and a little out of the main areas of Geneva. It would be an easy 10 minute walk to the old town.

The room was quite large, with a pretty big balcony, very comfortable bed, fresh fruit provided on arrival.
This hotel was impeccably decorated with original artwork and fine furnishings.
Wifi is free and throughout the hotel with normal signal.

Most importantly, the staff. Very attentive and well-trained staff – everyone smiles and running to tend to your every request. Everyone, from the concierges Antonio to the waiters to housekeeping, I found a level of quality, which makes all the difference between an indifferent stay (even when the room and location are good) and a wonderful one.
A pleasure to stay there.

I have used this hotel for about 23 years and have had almost nothing to complain about over the entire period. The rooms are large and the beds really comfortable - vast TVs are great and there are DVD players to go with them. Breakfast is generous and sets you up very well for the day as does the strong black coffee. The hotellier I know well (as IvanCDG has mentioned him) he's great and he goes out of his way to help in every way he can. I like that the hotel is old-fashioned and the rooms like drawing-rooms. The interiors are baroque with lots of gold on everything but it's fun. I disagree that it wouldn't make a nice romantic hotel - it's well located and you are not cramped. Good restaurants are nearby and good connections into town. No reason why business people can't stay there - you judge according to what sort of place you're looking for and can afford.

Room Tip: The rear of the building is better - facing out onto a sort of quad - the street can be noisier.

The hotel is old, but clean and the service is good. Wifi is free. The hotel is not suitable for business. If you come to Geneva for a romantic stay you better go somewhere else. The hotel is located near the Hospital.

This place reminds me of the TV series Fawlty Towers.
In a good way: full of charm.
What makes the hotel is the hotelier at the front desk.
He was unfailingly polite, helpful, attentive, engaged.
Such a contrast to the usual hotel experience.
The rooms are old-fashioned and comfortable.

Although it looks like Liberace has done the interior design, this little discreet hotel has everything you need really. Staff are very friendly and helpful and it has a good location.
There has been a construction site banging away across the street for a few years, but I'd imagine they're done soon.
I was pleased to be offered complimentary cup of coffee on the terrace and it has a good continental breakfast.
Be prepared to bump in to people from all over the world.

We got there fairly late in the evening- the night porter didnt think much of helping us carry our three heavy suitcases and merely gave us the room key, pointing at the nearby elevator! The room was weirdly decorated, pseudo- baroque style, and definitely pretty worn out furnishings. They had forgotten to empty the wastepaper basket in the bathroom! The room was all but quiet ,on a street where a bus passes every 5 minutes!!! The next day we were having breakfast with a friend in the breakfast room by the terrace. Apart from the tables, there is a large couch covered in pseudo-brocade. Our friend had come with her tiny yorkshire, who decided , after sitting on the floor for a half hour, to make acquaintace with the adjoining sofa.He was sniffing around it and his mistress kept watch. Suddenly the self- defined hotel Manager- looks more like a handyman!- broke into the room shouting. We were, that day, the only guests in the breakfast room apart from a man on the side, and wondered what could have happened!! Pointing at the poor tiny dog as if at a monster, he accused it of having jumped on the sofa- oh,yes, HE had seen it on his monitor!- and of having torn the " precious" pseudo- brocade. There was, in fact, a huge tear right in the middle of the sofa! Certainly not due to the tiny paws of the midget- sized Yorkshire , though! The Manager continued, I ll charge you for this, and we both felt very embarassed, as well as our friend. This is when the other person in the room decided to speak out. He d d been there for a few days before us, and had noticed the unseeming tear in the sofa the first time he d had breakfast in that room! They were, in other words, trying to redecorate their furnishings at our expense! needless to say, we changed hotels the same day!

Room Tip: Stay away from this hotel!!
