First time going to Thai and must say we were v impressed. My husband is a bit of an Asian food nut and seeks out the best places (whether it is in Thailand or when was he living in San Francisco and London) and so far we have been disappointed in Geneva's offerings but last night's Phad Thai was declared as perhaps the best he had ever had! I had the bass as a main and the seasoning was perfect - zesty, spicy, salty and sweet. The starters were good as were even the deserts. Service was great despite it being very busy and whilst it probably is a bit on the expensive side it is not outrageous for GVA and when you need some really great Thai food I'd say it is worth it! We will be back.

My kids love Thai food and we booked a table for 4 as a family treat. My husband only had a starter so were rather shocked at the bill! The food was good but the bill gave me indigestion

Yes, the prices at THAI are expensive, 3 courses with water and wine work out at about 150-200chf each! But where in Geneva is there a comparably stylish restaurant with carefully prepared dishes for less than that? Let me know if you know of one please!! In Geneva, you can easily leave the pizzeria next door to THAI with a similarly priced bill if you have 3 courses and drink any alcohol or water. I've been in GVA 5 years and for a nice evening dinner out, I've only found more expensive prices, hotel locations (hotel feeling and A LOT more expensive). For similar prices, there are sleepy, more than half empty brasseries or Italian style food (fondue, steak or pizza-pasta AGAIN) only one or two of these are an equal quality to THAI. There are cheaper options, but they usually serve fast food with the option of take away or sitting to eat.

Yes, the service at THAI is slow, but it's a nice atmosphere to sit in, they make an effort with food presentation and flavours and it's not greasy. It's a restaurant for making an evening out of having dinner and a chat once in a while.

Central Geneva and Carouge restaurant prices are generally ridiculous, especially compared to French cities. Spicy food isn't very popular in Geneva, so if you like an added hit in you Thai tell them in advance or eat Indian. For eating out in GVA, THAI is good food fairly priced in a stylish but down-to-earth setting. And I'm not related to the owners!:-)

37CHF for a Pad Thai, 18CHF for a small coconut soup... even for Geneva standards this place is expensive. And the wine prices are even outrageous. If it would at least be worth it. But the food is surprisingly bland, even the "spicy" papaya salad is missing any hint of spice.

This place, I am sorry, is just a rip-off. There are at least a dozen Thai restaurants that I would recommend in Geneva before even considering this one.

Seems like the Genevois know better - at least we only heard English spoken around us.
