I've stayed at several of the hotels in this price range in and around Geneva centre, each on multiple occasions - EastWest has by far the best atmosphere, and the nicest rooms. The food and staff are great. I see no reason to stay anywhere else and continue to go back regularly.

From the beginning to the end of my stay I was impressed with the kind and competent staff. We had some trouble with our safe at 5:30 AM and the concierge was really fast and nice. The bed and shower were amazing and the room had little touches, such as free Nespresso coffee, that made our stay even more enjoyable. A true gem!

We stayed for 2 nights in October. The personell were more than helpful. We had a problem with the taxi driver coming from the airport and they immediately came to the rescue. The room was divine, we had a view of the water.

We had dinner there and found the food spectacular also. The service impecable. This city is extremely expensive, this hotel is less expensive than many, however, it is well located, walking distance to the water, the old city, etc. People in the hotel directed us and provided a map for our walks. They also provide free transportation card that we used to board the different boats that go around the lake.

The hotel staff is what impressed me most.....very friendly, polite and helpful. They assisted us in getting around the city and pointed us in the right direction when looking for restaurants, historical sites and the train station.very very nice staff!! The room was very comfortable...esp loved the bed and pillows ( and the super soft linens were great too). Well within walking distance to great shopping areas and the historical part of town and a very short walk to the train staion!! Would definately reccomend!

We decided to stay based on the good reviews here and it was perfect. The staff, the extra touches, the bed, the awesome bathroom with the best shower ever! We felt looked after all the time plus they had good ideas for eating out - even commenting on places that would be too expensive - and Geneva is not cheap!
Would go back - and try and get a room price with breakfast next time!!

Room Tip: room 30 has a great bathroom and space for a extra bed

This is a great hotel in a good location, just a few minutes walk from Geneva's main rail station and tram terminus.

The hotel itself is well appointed and the reception staff were very friendly and professional, as were room service staff.

The hotel features free wifi throughout, which is a reasonable speed. The rooms are spacious and boast very pleasant contemporary decor, with dark wood floors and modern facilities, including a coffee machine, rain shower, steam-free mirror and flat-screen TV with a choice of international channels.

The beds and pillows are very comfortable (if perhaps a little on soft side) and the rooms are quiet and peaceful. The layered curtains block out all the light.

The hotel has its own bar and restaurant and both are very pleasant places to spend time. There is a rather nice courtyard at the rear of the hotel, where you can enjoy drinks alongside a contemporary waterfall.

Geneva's main city attractions are all within easy reach either by walking or by the extensive public transport network. All city public transport (trams, rail, buses and boats) is free to hotel guests.

Point to note: Geneva is very expensive and there's only really sufficient to keep a busy sightseer occupied for 2-3 days, unless you plan on spending a lot of time in musuems or hiring a car and seeing the surrounding areas (including the local vineyards).

The best way to get to the hotel from the airport is to take the train or bus to Geneva Cornavin station. The ticket is free from a machine at the airport and the walk from the station to hotel is quick and easy. A taxi costs around CHF35 for the relatively short journey.

Room Tip: Ideally, choose a room at the rear of the hotel.

experience: stayed at the hotel for 2 days for holiday.

positive: free wifi in room (ask for access details if u did not get it during chk in), nespresso machine, nice bed /pillows, free city bus access card, air con remote access.

negative: row in shower tends to get outside flr wet easily, not easily accessible by bus / location not easy to find for 1st time tourists

breakfast: did not try

location: initial search for the hotel from geneva station (supposedly cornavin sttn is right beside it in case you are arriving by Swiss rail) took a while and we only managed to locate the hotel after moving thru the red light district and asking for directions. the easier and more straightfwd way to the hotel frm cornavin train sttn is via the railcity basement. look out for the exit where upon exit frm basement, there is a starbucks coffee and then a mcdonalds. just head straight (1stly pass starbucks and then mcdonalds) until u reach a church on ur left (u shd hv crossed a road or 2 already). turn left immediately before reaching the church, and go straight. at the following cross junction, cross right, then cross left and head straight. u shd be on rue de pacquis street now (hotel shd be within 100m ahead).

ps: shops in geneva are pretty much closed off (old town) on sun whilst sat is mainly till 4pm only. weekdays, shops are normally open till 7.30pm.
