“"Excellent Boutique Hotel"”

We had the pleasure of spending a day and night at the Eastwest Hotel on our way home from skiing. T
We had a deluxe room on the front side and it was wonderful. The size was large for a downtown hotel and the bath/bed and linins were all of high quality. The room and hotel were superclean and the staff terrific. We had drinks at the bar and went walking for supper. Beware that about a block away from the hotel is a red light area and it is very noisy on the main street at night so you cannot open your windows. Our night had (friday) seemed to be quite busy with police sirens. I do not recommend a family walk in this area:). The hotel was great, location to downtown and shopping, sights were fantastic. It just borders a seedier area.

Room Tip: Front of hotel has a great view but are noisy at night.

This hotel is in a very congested, older part of the city that contains nothing but one-way streets. If you arrive in a car, it's very difficult to park long enough to unload your luggage, much less find a place to park. The neighborhood has gone down hill a lot, and there are streetwalkers and shifty-looking characters on the street. The hotel itself is very nice and the food is good.

I frequently travel to Geneva on business and find that all the hotel in the price range of the East West are very poor. Not this one. The decor is lovely, the rooms are comfy and clean, all the amenities including a Nespresso machine in the room. Love this hotel.

Room Tip: Stay away from the side streets. The ladies of the night are everywhere.

This is a trendy boutique hotel. It isn't big on space, but not smaller than standard in a European capital. Nice design led interiors (love the super sized high backed wooden chairs in the lobby), and a cute cafe/bar area. Beware, the price of the breakfast was something of a shock. I don't think it was much more expensive that the rest of Geneva though. The old town is a 10 minute stroll away, and it is a fairly quiet area.

Back to the rooms themselves: The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom slippers are lovely and soft, you get a very good hair dryer, much better than the one I use at home. The rain shower is also lovely, and it is nice to get a proper coffee in the room.

All in all, it was a great choice, and one I would make again. It is expensive, but not significantly more so than much less attractive options.

Our 3rd time staying at Eastwest Hotel during March 2012 did not disappoint. Same high standards of customer care, which is really pretty faultless. Our room was towards the back of the hotel this time, rather than an aspect to the front street. This room was of the same high standards as the others. Had breakfast at the hotel but not dinner - breakfast was very good. Would not stay anywhere else when visiting Geneva. Reception staff gave us some good tips on where to visit in the old town and how to travel to the motor show without using the train. Potential guests should note that the hotel provides a free unlimited travel pass for the duration of your stay - valid on trains, buses, trams and water taxis - quite a sweet touch.

Hotel is an easy stroll from the lakeside and the old town. Don't get the impression that eating out is expensive either - we had an excellent meal for two in the old town for around 40 Swiss Francs - including drinks - go into the side streets. Old town is very safe at night - we have walked all over during 3 trips to Geneva and did not see anything to cause concern.

Room Tip: They all seem to be good.

Just returned from a trip to Geneva and I just loved staying in Eastwest. From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent, attentitive enough to deal with our requests but not overbearing at all.
The room was just amazing; comfortable, stylish and so different to any of the other hotels I have stayed in.

This is now my number one choice of hotel in Geneva.
