Great value for money... Though has shared bathrooms.. The bathrooms are better than attached bathrooms in most of the three-star hotels. The breakfast served was great... The location of the hotel is 10 min walk from main Lucerne station... But still located in a very quiet locality...
Rooms are cleaned and serviced every day. Shared Bathroom was a hassle but it was very clean and not at all busy. All rooms had a sink in the rooms. Internet wifi is limited to 1hour a day which can be improved.
Breakfast was complementary and featured a variety of continental breakfast. Kitchen staff worked hard whilst front desk receptional staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended !
So when you're in Lurcerne this hotel is pretty much the best value for money you can find. They have clean, spacious rooms as well as spacious bathrooms. Very standard Ikea rooms but we weren't there for room decor so it didn't matter. The breakfast buffet was also good every morning. They provide bed linen towels and clean the rooms every morning. They have limited wifi time which I found a bit strange but then again we didn't spend much time in the room. Overall quiet good value for money and also not too far from train station and other attractions.
Its tucked away in a quiet corner of Lucerne yet not too far from & on the same side of the lake as the train station.You can walk or take the easily available bus no.2 from the station -direction Emmenbrucke to Pilatusplatz (the second stop on the route) - though even with the bus you have to walk around one-third of the total distance. The locality is pretty & serene, you truly feel like you are far away from the crowd. The guy at the reception who checked us in was polite & extremely helpful. He gave us all the maps, timetables, the city pass that we needed for our day trips to Rigi & Titlis including checking the weather. We had booked a 'room with shared bathroom' but it had a wash basin & the wardrobe doubled as the partition between the sink & the sleeping area. There were separate bathrooms for men & women & sparkling clean. We had a corner room & the view from the room was amazing. Breakfast the next morning was standard affair, nothing lavish but hearty & adequate.
It was our first time in a hostel and we'd stay there again. It's a short walk from the main train station in a quiet neighborhood. The room was spartan but perfect for our needs and price. The breakfast was great and more than we expected. The shared bathrooms were very clean and thankfully offered some privacy.
There was a surcharge for internet access but the breakfast was included. The hotel staff were friendly but you had to ask for things. In some cases you had to know what to ask for. For example, we had to ask for the hotel's visitor card for local discounts. The front desk clerk even seemed surprised that we knew to ask for it.
Good location.. 20 mins walking to the main train station. Good eating places nearby. Quiet location and breakfast was good. The shared bathroom was very clean. The rooms were clean as well and spacious. Only thing was that the wall were a bit thin, you could hear people walking about in the corridors. Some of the guests had problems identifying their rooms, and there were a number of occasions that other people would try to open our room door (suggested to always lock your room door even when you are inside!). The hotel could perhaps identify the rooms in a better way so that the guests would not get confused as the doors and hallways look alike (eg. put up pictures on the doors for easier identification). Would recommend the hotel for its cheap price and good facilities/location.
