We happened on this restaurant on a recent trip to Lucerne. There is a large concert hall on the waterfront (very modern) that has a couple of restaurants, one of which is the Seebar. We tried this while waiting for a ferry because the seating was outside with a view of the lake and surrounding mountains. It's a tad noisy, but a good place for people watching. They serve specialties of the area. My favorite is Kalbsbratwurst - veal sausage - and I don't believe I've ever had it served in such a lovely manner. It's just grilled sausage, but they made it look fabulous! Although all restaurants seem expensive to an American, this one had good value for the money. The Kalbsbratwurst was 12 CHF - an entirely reasonable sum for lunch. The Flammkuchen was also really good - it's a sort of pizza Swiss-German style. You won't be disappointed if you like Swiss food!
