Its just a 5 min walk from the train station.. Its right across the lake but the room we stayed did not have a great view. The staff were ok.. There was one particular front desk staff who was very cheerful and helped us a lot. The breakfast was good and it was quite surprising to see few of the food marked as "Jain". My daughter loved the tiny cookies which were left on the pillows everyday. I'm not sure if any of the Indians have noticed the small Srilankan eatery at the end of the road(near the college) the hotel is located in. It offers pretty decent Indian meal both veg and nonveg. Its good for people who dont want to go far off to have an Indian meal. Lucerne is such a lovely place and radissons made our experience more memorable.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better view of the lake.

The front desk staff is weak....not knowledgeable, argumentative....a smile would help......and NOT customer oriented. I a a big early for the 3:00 check-in but couldn't call to check room? The room once I got in was fine and itch a nice ake view. However, the food and table service is another big problem as the waitress I had this ven g spok only German.....in a city like Lucerne? The salad was fine, had to ask for bread, ad to ask I oil or butter, the min course of a chicken dsh was sent back. Not as described and looked so poor and nothing like a decent dish.....the presentation for 36chf was unbelievable, and by the way the bread was stale. Nothing much else to say.....I would NEVER stay here again......can't wait to get to Radsson Zurich....always a great stay.

Room Tip: Ai early before you get here for a lake view...no lower than 4th floor

Location:
Hotel is located right behind the train station. Those looking for a quick dinner or some snacks can easily walk to the train station and its vicinity to satisfy your hunger pangs.

Hotel is also located near the town centre (Chapel Bridge, shopping etc.) - 10 to 15 minutes walk. Walking there is a breeze cause of the cool weather and scenic views of the mountains and the town.

Rooms & Amenities:
The room was large, very clean and comfortable. Free wifi available. Dinner (hotel lobby restaurant) was a miserable buffet spread that was not appetizing. Breakfast however had a very good selection of food with good quality. I enjoyed the breakfast very much! Though at 38CHF I would think you're better off settling your breakfast in town, unless your room package came with breakfast.

Rooms had full length window and although my room was facing the side road, however, I still like it very much cause it allowed much natural light in.

Guests need to have a room card in order to access the lift which was a good sign of security.

This hotel is located away from the town center which makes it an ideal business hotel. I would probably pick another hotel closer to the town. From this hotel, it takes 15-20 minutes to reach the tourist attractions which is actually not a problem because Lucerne is a joy to walk around in. There is a wellness / spa center for guests which opens until late. There was no one there when I tried it so I had it all to myself. Breakfast was standard and okay but available very early in the morning, earlier than other hotels.

It's actually not that close to the train station. With bags, you need about 10 minutes to reach the hotel.
