In the past we've had issues with the service here but the last thing we expected was to be disappointed with the food. On other visits the food has been excellent but this time we didn't appreciate the choice of textures and flavours in the dishes we chose: the carpaccio of beetroot was at best unexciting, the roast foie gras was excellent but overpowered by too much of a sticky, green, pungent sauce and the lamb was neither tasty nor particularly well presented. Having said that the service was attentive, the sommelier was excellent (they have a very good wine list) and the ambiance was pleasantly relaxed.
