Having tried this restaurant for lunch, I recommended it to a group of friends for dinner. While the food was very good, the wait between courses was unacceptable especially as it was midweek. We arrived at 7.30 and the salad starters arrived at 8.50 without bread. The bread never arrived! The main course followed at 9.45. Dessert was quicker at 10.30 as the restaurant was emptying . While the bread for the cheese plate did arrive, half the cheese had already been eaten. It was a hot evening and the jug of water was not refilled. We were never asked if we wanted any more wine etc. Overall, the food was of a really good standard but for a restaurant that is trying to create a gastronomical experience, the service has to improve. The waitresses were friendly and courteous but clearly overworked. An extra waitress would not have dented the profit margin by very much! Disappointing.
